Christine i know you'll be okay they are so precious and we try to do the very best we can for them,as i said you can go to etsy for diapers and there are a few good sites for them,as i've gone holistic over the years and have made a few of my own remedies for things and they have worked. Please keep me updated on things and give that precious babe a kiss for me.
Hi Christine, thanks for the friend request and welcome to Pugslife. You're going to love it here. Buffy, my 13 year old rescued pug, had an old spinal injury that had healed before we adopted her. Then, when she was on the bed (I so regret putting her up there, now!), she jumped or fell off with the other puggies and herniated her disc. She was totally paralyzed from the hips down. We rushed her to the vet and the xray confirmed the herniated disc. She started on Prednisone 3 X a day, then he had it cut down over 4 weeks. He also gave us muscle relaxers and Tramadol for pain. She stayed paralyzed for a week and then slowly the legs started working as the Prednisone decreased the swelling. We were so close to putting her down when we saw the progress. The plan was to put her on Metacam or another anti-inflammatory after the swelling decreased and the herniated section healed, but she was A-OK and at 13 we didn't want a med that could cause stomach upset. We have a full dose (4 weeks) of Prednisone in our RV should this happen again. Thank you for asking and I hope this helps. Keep me posted on Abby. I'll try and copy and paste this and put it in your blog, too. Abby will be in our prayers, the Lord loves little puggies! :0)
