Social network for pugs and their people.
My Mom adopted Annie from the Orange County Animal Shelter yesterday. She's most likely a pug-beagle mix, also known as a puggle. I can see both breeds in her very easily as she has the pug mask and the curly pug tail (though a quite long one) but she has a definite beagle bark(more of a bay) and she's got the body of a beagle with the longer legs and nose. She's just the sweetest thing around and rides very well in the car. She knows basic commands and walks on the leash without pulling. She's already started responding to her name after just one day and seems to be a very smart girl. She's four years old and was picked up as a stray at the shelter. We think she had a very good home for most of her life as she listens so well and has shown no destructive tendencies. She is even liking Toby the cat and my Mom thinks they will become good friends as they are already sniffing each other quite a bit and there is no growling from either one :-)
