Was that another Seizure like thing?

So right now it is 6:49 am.. Ack. Funny that, last time he did something like this was at 10:40.. SImilar time... I woulda prefered 10:40 tho :) Anyway, whatever happened happened in the same month as the last.. ahh..

Milo woke me up with the loudest scream in the world. He was laying next to me and he shrieked so loudly and i opened my eyes and he was there quite stiff like and i swear he shook a little then i lifted him up and he peed. Ahh! Even my mum heard his screams. was like a baby according to her. Im not sure what it was all about.. I wasnt hurting him, that i know... Wonder what that was all about.. He seems ok just after just a bit scared and tired really.. hes sleeping now :p I checked his gums after and they were quite grey...

Yep, i wiped his ears out.. he hasnt been itching since. Ive been planning to get some ear cleaning solution anyways just cant find any. All the Vet wants us to do is keep a record of the times it happens etc and get a video. Its impossible to get a video when it happens at 6am. Im like tired.. I dont think of grabbing the camera because hes just woken me up. I just watch what hes doing

Sophie the ear thing could just be an ear infection like Linus just had, but if it is you do need medicine to clear it up. Milo is definitely having seizures, but is it epilepsy I cannot say. Something else needs to be done for poor Milo Sophie, check your area for another vet, or even an emergency vet hospital, and take him in. Tell your mom you are afraid for Milo. I know the cost is high, but he is so young that maybe he can get help before something really bad happens.

He had another one this morning, only 13 days from the last. Once again he was laying beside me. He doesnt usually but then he does seek me out to be close to me before these things happen so maybe thats why he was beside me. Anyway he woke me up at 6:00am crying out, like a scream again. I looked at him and he had his eyes open and they were glassy. His wasnt totally rigid and wasnt moving alot but was still moving a little bit. When he stopped i picked him up to move him and there was a patch of wee on my bed where he was laying so he obviously wet himself again.

He's been shaking his head and scratching his right ear today too. Think he might have something in his ear, will have to get an ear cleaning solution i suppose.

Just keep a watchful eye on Milo. I can't believe that the vets don't know what to do about this situation. I looked on the web about this situation that Milo is going through and found numerous of things that could be happening. It does not take a rocket scientist to get help for Milo (talking about the vets) and gosh..your mother needs to come to the conclusion that if this pug does not get the medical attention he needs then there may be some rude awakenings.

omg how strange is that! I thought I recognised the situation you described and to have 2 dogs called Milo was too much of a coincidence! Yeah, I would definately get a second opinion and mention the possibility of PDE. I hope your Mum realises that this is something which needs to be sorted out. No matter what the vet says, a dog having seizures is not 'okay'. Keep up with the nagging! x

Yes it is me laura! :P There is another veterinary surgery where we used to go for puppy training. Id like to get a second opinion there but its down to my mum i guess :(

Wow, I just had to look that up, never heard of it before. Again this is just my opinion, but that doesn't sound like Milo, but you know what is happening better than we do. Are there many Vet's in your area, and do you have any friends who might go to a different vet that you can ask their feels about the vet from. You really need a second opinion on this who thing.

hey, are you the girl on Y!A with the <3 as your name? I answered your question earlier and mentioned that it could be slow progressive PDE! Well, at least I think its you?

The Vet gave us a sheet about epilepsy and said that since milo does most things that dogs with epilepsy do but because he doesn't paddle his legs then he doesn't have it. Weird.. You know, i just pray it doesn't turn out to be something like PDE.

Hi Sophie, I have just this minute caught up on Milo's situation, and I have to say that I am in agreement that there has to be further investigation into what is happening. I don't like the sound of the grey gums either. Have you written to Brent and asked what he thought, because of his situation with Walker. He may be able to shed some light on this. Did you think that the Vet was not going down the line of the epilepsy?
