Tonight was bath night for Mr. Foo, but before he got in his tubby I gave my daughter her bath. Mr. Foo loves to go into the bathroom to watch her and visit her while she is in the tub.

My daughter is eight, so she still likes to take toys in with her into the tub. I have a plastice tote with a folding close lid that I keep her bath toys in. It sits snugged up next to the tube and makes a perfect vantage point for Foo to see everything Allison is doing. He loves to climb up on it and then place his hands on the tub edge. He leans into the tub as far as he can and catches her face with kisses every chance he gets. Sometimes he gets down and cups his hands back up on the tub edge and then side-steps back and forth, following her as she moves in the tub. It is so cute, but tonight was even more so and made me chucke out loud.

Once Allison was out of the tub and in her jammies, I asked Mr. Foo, "Do you want a tubby?" He put his arms around my neck and kissed my face. Then he jumped down and headed for the bathroom. I got him all ready to go and started to run the bath water. He got up on his hind legs and put his hands up on the tub edge, then it happened...he started trying to pull himself up into the tub and was whimpering because he wanted in so badly! (It was the whimpering that caught my attention. He rarely has whimpered.) His little arms were straining, trying to pull himself up and his left hind leg came up to try to help push his behind up the tub side. I was beside him and could see what was going on. Boy! did it ever crack me up! He was so happy when I picked him up and put him in the tub on his mat with his tub toys. (Oh yes, he has his own tub toys. lol) He scooted the little plastic bowl that was floating with his nose around the tub for a while and then started playing with Papa Noah (a plastic tupperware toy Noah from a Noah and Ark set.) I swear he would have started snorkling too if the water hadn't started to cool down. He played while I bathed him and was such a good boy. (He's always a good boy on bath night.) Then afterward he cuddled in his towel on my lap and enjoyed his tubby treat.

I wish everyone could have seen it. Ah well, perhaps some day I'll be able to invest in a digital camcorder...

Brent, I bet so much happens around your place with those 3 that you could write an entire book!

Hey I've got a digital that Malia and Jeb ate about a month ago, there is only around five or so pieces missing, I think they got deposited in the back yard a few hours later, want me to go see if I can find them? I'll mail the thing to you. Without a warranty of course! hahahha

Just read your tub time story again, it like I was right there watching the whole thing. One of these days when I feel really creative perhaps I shall share a story. Nothing much ever happens around here worthy of note though. hahahaha

I know the hyjinks that can go on at bath time, that's interesting mine got a group bath yesterday also. More often the not at least one of them will jump in the tub with me while I showers. They do so love their baths, are these children really dogs?

You painted such a nice picture of Mr Foo and his bath that a video could not possibly convey. He is obviously the love of your life and it comes over in the piece. I, like, Mark and Julie could not say that I have managed to cuddle my Hektor on my lap once I have bathed him or in his case popped him in the shower, catching him to towel him down is usually what happens. One thing I have always noticed is that Pugs like to be clean. Hektor always appreciates having his nose fold cleaned. Mind you I was told about Stan, our really delightful friendly Pug, who after being bathed dived into the nearest puddle on his first walk after.

What a good boy Mr. Foo is about taking a bath. Daisy likes the bath part but the drying off is another story!! Loved the blog...can just picture him trying so hard to get in the tub. Hopefully Santa will bring a camcorder and we can all see Foo and his antics!! :-)
