I had not wanted to write this post this soon, but I felt the need to let you all know that I am calling the vet tomorrow and making my that last visit with Lily.  It has been such a hard choice to make, but I now know that it is time.  There have been so many changes in her in the last several days that we have come to realize that there is not much left for us to try.  I have tried so many different things to help her as you all know, but I see it in her face, she wants me to stop.  The vet told me I would know when it was time, and now I know he is right.  She still has a little spark left, but the rest of her has given up.  She just sits and cries for one of us to pick her up.  She is now peeing in the house and will not even try to go outside.  You all had seen my last post about the diapers, knowing that they are working for us either.  She las lost so much weight in her back end, and there is no muscle there, and I think that is why the diapers fall off of her.  She is also turning down some of her favorite food.  I know that you all cared about her from all the lovely comments that were given over the years that I have been a part of the Pugslife family, and that is why I wanted to tell you as though you were her family.

Di, I just only saw this as I haven't been on the site for a few months and my heart cried for you. You did the right thing and were so brave, I hope I have your courage when the time comes. We will miss Lily too. Our love and hugs to you, Kiri and Muffy

Diane, I cannot tell you how sad I feel or express what I am going through at this moment. I hadn't read any blog in a while and was totally unaware, and so today, when I saw your video, I got the shock of my life. What a beautiful tribute your video is to Miss Liliy. She is still around for all of us, its just that her body has been transported to a place devoid of pain. She is in a world full of happiness, smiles, and much more love than all of us have for her. She remains forever in our hearts, thoughts and lives. I am sending you the warmest hug I can from India and Tin Tin wants to sit on your lap and lick away your tears. He and Rusty send their sloppiest puggie licks to Linus and Lizzy ! Take care !

All my thoughts are with you right now Di, we all know when the right time is here, and for Lily had come.I know what you mean, my Husband had to pick our Henry out of his water dish shortly before we lost him, and he was so upset as there was no muscle there, he had always been a big beefy well set up lad and he had gone down to nothing. Love to you and yours form myself and also from my Husband Andrew, who remember well how you are feeling now. Helena

You made a choice of love; one made for Lily's comfort.  I know how hard it was; know there is some tough days ahead, but Lily was your first concern, not your own need for her to stay here.  God Bless YOU!  <3

Awww how sweet.  I think the fawns with extra dark masks and chests or backs make them look really cute.

No we knew she was darker, but we only really saw her at 3weeks, and then when we picked them up at 8 weeks, so we were really surprised at her color and how cute she was.  She really was the runt of the litter, and at 3 weeks she really didn't look good, but Carl wanted her.  We even tried to talk him into taking another puppy, but he said, and we were so glad he never changed his mind.

Oh Diane I am so glad to hear that, that makes me so happy for you and I'm sure it's so comforting knowing they are together.  Could you tell Lulu was going to be that dark when she was a puppy?  I never knew if you could tell or not, or if it was something you don't really see until they get older.

Jackie I am good, as I said I know I did the right thing, and I know that Lily is with her sister, and that makes me feel happy.  And yes Lulu was very dark compared to Lily.  I would say Lulu had a lot of silver in her while Lily was Apricot.

And I still can't believe how dark (it was Lulu right?) was!  Almost reminds me of Linus' face!  How are you doing Diane?
