Well we got up yesterday a.m. & Shini came out of bedroom w/us, and when she went across the kitchen floor we noticed she was dripping tiny light red drops. We couldn't imagine what was wrong, until we realized that she is old enough now to  be going through heat. So we have covered the furniture now after one drop had to be scrubbed off the couch :) We are taking her on in to the vet anyway, just to make double sure. So now we are leary of taking her on her walks w/Daddy, although she is leashed, but there are two stray dogs right now, running freely about the neighborhood. Also for for some reason, we hadn't ever gotten around to sending her papers in for her registration, so we are doing those now, & we chose for her full name to be.......... Shini "Running Squaw Feather" Compton. What do you all think?

I suppose Cherokee that Dogs are just like us that they have their blooming when it suit's them and I suppose like us nutrition works with them too. The only thing I would say about having a litter is that it is not necessary for them to have one, and some bitches are not good mothers. She is very young, it would be like letting a baby have babies. Hektor was neutered at her age, he had problems which made it necessary but even so I would have done so, because he is on a restricted pedigree which means the Kennel Club would not recognise the litter. If you are going to let her have a litter I would wait until she is at least around a year old, she will be almost full grown by then, just got to broaden out.

LOL Pugnacious!! / Di, Mike wants to let her have one little, I want to go ahead & have her fixed. I read that it is healthy to let them have one litter. But she is just way to young mentally & physically this go around. So still not decided on later though. / ROFLOL Karen, too funny! / The Wee Woman Shini was born July 2, 2011, she is exactly six months today. When we got her, she was already four months old. I too thought this was very young.

Can I ask how old little Shini is because it is very rare for a bitch to go into heat before 6 months, as for hr pedigree name, I think that is superb, she can attach herself to my cowboy/gangster Butch Cassidy,

Have to say YOU are all bad Momma's , poor Bella, I would think you would gt PMS with Mommy thinking your mean, As for Pugman's, good idea.

Don't let Shini near the computer when Pugman's pugs are in view.  It might be contagious!

ROFLOL Karen, we wondered the same thing! Maybe that is why when she doesn't get a bath, Mike & I get shunned totally! Pug Chick, she was born July 2, 2011. So January 2nd she will be 6 months. I was thinking it comes later as well. Hope it is nothing serious.

Wow that is early.  How old is she now?  I'm sure she is I just remember Puga being almost a year old before she had her first.  She was a late bloomer....lol  Pixie we got at 7 months and got her fixed before she ever bloomed.
