I dropped off Baby at the groomer this morning and later got a call from her that Baby's had a seizure over there. My husband and I rushed over and she brought Baby out by the time Baby looks normal. Baby's is a healthy 7 year old pug never had he had any health issue. From the groomer, she told me when she was finished with his bath and blow dry, and about to start clipping his nails, Baby kind of fought a little bit and then went down. She quickly unleashed him from the table, he fell side way and could not even stand on his front feet and his tongue turned blue . She then called me and while waiting, she held him for about 5 mins and fed him lots of water and Baby started looking dazed first and then a couple of mins more he got back to normal. I just want to know does anyone have the same or similar situation with your pug? Baby has a flat air pipe but I am not sure if this contribute the problem today. This has never happened before and I am sick worried about him. He is now at home and doing fine just look a bit tired. I am planning to take him back to the ER tonight. If anyone has any info about this, please kindly share that with me. Thank you.

We have been using the same groomer but it's not frequent thing we do all the time. He gets very very angry and nervous with me when I try to clip his nails so we only take him to the groomer for that purpose only yesterday we added a bath on top of it. You were right, he just finished the blow dry it could be very warm for him, and once people touches his paws, he started to fight, and of course his flat air pipe couldn't get enough air, that could be the main reason why he passed out and tongue turned blue right away. I will never let him be alone without me anymore. Thank you all, your information and comments are very precious to me.

Our friend Stan who is now around the same age as Baby had a couple of seizures over last summer. He does not do well in any sort of heat and his owners have put these down to him out walking when it was too warm for him. Possibly when he was being groomed he got over heated especially if he fought being done. I would consider not having him at a groomer without you being in attendance in future and I would explain what has happened, even better if someone could come to you. I also think that his flat air pipe would contribute again because he fought having being groomed.
