My oldest Pug, Scorpius has reverse sneezing to the extent...and every time it happens, it looks like she is trying everything to catch her breath, and it really makes me feel so helpless and sad for her. Does anyone know of any kind of medication or therapy that I can give to her to help her breathe more easily???

Put a finger across their nostrils so that they are forced to breathe through their mouths - this usually stops it right away. You can also try blowing in their nostrils, this also can stop it very quickly, although I tend to prefer the first method! ;-)
Comment by brian snow on February 11, 2013 at 11:42am my first pug winston used to do it a lot,
i just patted him on the back til it stopped, that seemed to work, Brian and Otis,
Yes my 10 yr old girl has always done it but it has gotten worse as she has aged, like the article says I try and rub her throat and hope for the best.
