I noticed Bentley has a very red paw it also looks like the hair folicles are open? not sure if it is a hotspot? he gets fed natural balance venison and sweet potatoe and only gets bully sticks I have a ttached a pic of it not the best pic but hopeing anyone has any ideas?

Yes I would say it is a reaction to something, is he licking it at all?  Keep it clean and dry, dry is the most important thing. and you could try some sulvadine (Spelling), as if it is a hot stot this will help

his foot does look a little better I have been cleaning it and keeping it dry hopefully it will clear up soon I will try the booties (if he will keep them on) thanks!

Similar problem due to the salt and grit that they put on the pavements during the snow time and still lying around. Got cream from the Vet to put on his feet. I am washing Hektor's feet at present and drying them when he comes home. Also having to wash with salt water because he has a cyst on his toe as well.

Maybe try booties for walk time? It really does look like an allergic reaction to stepping on something. I've also read to wash their feet with a wet rag after walks. Good luck!

The vet actually said certain kinds of grass have a tendency to be allergies. Maybe he just managed to step on a patch. Or some kind of chemical ice remover? Road salt?

wow allergic to grass? maybe that would be an explanation for Bentley but our graa is full of snow lol!

Mine had that on all her feet.....she was allergic to the grass....yes I do have onne of the nerdy pugs who are allergic to everything with glasses and a pocket protector
