Well, this evening while I was cooking up some liver & onions, Shini helped herself up to the fruit bowl, not to eat the fruit, but to eat a lone muffin I had put in there. When we caught her, we swear...........................she was grinning & then resumed to licking & licking on the muffin really fast like. LOL! So we got her down & that was all over with. But then I was cooking the gravy & she was in our bedroom whining & whining, so I go to see what was wrong, she was trying w/all her tiny little might to drag her bed out of the room, so I pick it up & brought it into the kitchen where I was & you would have thought by the looks of it, that we had went out & bought her a new bed. She acted as if she had never seen it before. She was soooooooooooo excited, as if she had been walking along the street & found a dollar! LOL! She got a new blankie last night & she was so excited! Everytime we go shopping & come in, she gets all excited trying to look in the bags for her
"prizes". She actually knows what that word means along with the word "treats" etc. so alot of spelling goes on around this house between Mike & I. We have to spell the word "cheese"  and "banana" etc. She is so smart! Mike swears she is human in a dogs body. Can't not love a pug!

LOL OMG Pug Chick it does!! And yes she is a character! The neighbor lady come to visit this evening & just before she arrived, I had told Shini she was getting ready to get her bath (as she has spent alot of time in bathroom today looking over into the tub whing), so when the neighbor lady showed up, of course bathtime was postponed. But "Major" Shini did NOT forget my promise to her, as the whole time neighbor was here, Shini kept running in & out of bathroom whining & going into bathroom & looking over into the tub, this went on the WHOLE time neighbor was here LOL. The neighbor asked what was wrong w/Shini (LOL). And when I told her, she looked at me very oddly! Oh well, you have to own a pug before you can truly understand one. And oh well, we wouldn't trade our odd little girl for nothin in the world! We like her weirdness, as it keeps us VERY intertained.

I love these stories.  Shini is a major character.  She cracks me up.  Mayor Shini...has a nice ring to it...lol

She walks on the leash pretty good now, so she gets to go on the walk to the post office everyday now w/Daddy to pick up the mail. Well, an older lady that lives up by the post office here in town was in her yard this a.m. & Shini barked & barked at her. So now Little Miss Shini thinks she owns the whole town. So she is now donned "The Mayor of Milton, Ky."................Mayor Shini! <------------shes a bossy little thang, thats for sure! We have created a monster!! LOL

Oh Wee Woman, I love the sighs that they do. If Shini is laying on the couch beside me & I move, she huffs as she moves, like she is discusted at me. LOL they are too funny! The other day we did it back to her & she just looked at us real funny.

Well Mike and Cherokee, soon you will have to spell words backwards or as we do, never say out, say the opposite of in. They also like to impose their routine, to purgatory with yours, Mine works Mum. I want my dinner/out/ whatever. Mine sits at the front door if he thinks we may be trying to go out without him, he sits in front of the Television to go out for his last pee, and he sits and accuses if you are late with dinner. He scrabbles at his Dad's side of the bed to get down stairs for his breakfast and he sighs very loudly to get me out of bed in the morning. Do not believe that Pugs are at all stupid, oh they are stubborn in extreme, but never stupid. It takes great brains to do nothing but be a cushion.

Mike & I got Shini a stuffed Dinosaur for christmas that sings a song when you push it's tummy. I am telling you, the thang looks like it's 100 yrs. old already! She has wore that thing out!!! And Mike & I are about to remove the batteries from it! It reminds me of the Barney song when my kids were young, There were days ole Barney bout wore us out! LOLOL So later last night I put it up from her, so as Mike & I could have a break, well...................the pouting began........again! LOL Do all pugs pout like this? It is so adorable, because she looks just like a child when she is pouting & looks at us w/those heartbroken eyes of hers. Last night when we got her in bed & I was fixing her baby blanket getting ready to cover her up & had it at her feet. She leans up grabs the blanket w/her teeth & flops back down, bringing the blanket above her head! Is she really a dog? I think she is human! Just now, Mike is sitting in the tub, I go in there to wash his back (our little thing :) & Shini hears the water & is whining @ the bathroom door (wanting to get her bath), so I tell Mike; "Ya, know, it's funny we are the humans here, but for some reason it is us that is always in the doghouse." LOL

LOL! I'm telling you all, I don't know what we would have done if it weren't for our pug family here. You all have been a GREAT support to us & our new puggy. We do appreciate it greatly. Sometimes I think you all sit back & crack up at us & our adventures & questions concerning Shini, as you all have been there for yrs. and have already been through all this. LOL Love you all much! And thanks again. And we are sure the questions are not over yet, am sure we will have more to come.

Just came accross this story of the adventures of Shini...lol  I know exactly where you are coming from with the spelling.  Ours know so many words. We especially have to spell chickens as that word send them into an all time frenzy with anticipation of going out to see the chickens.  We say the same thing about them being humans in do bodies....lol  I also find myself referring to the lot of them as people.  I will say like "Ok people it's time for dinner or it's time to go out etc."  I can't think of one thing not to love about a pug.  Even less desirable traits are adorable when a pug does it...lol
