Social network for pugs and their people.
Many of you must be wondering about two very different looking Pugs who appear here.I want to tell you a story about one of our members. You maybe have met our Julie Foutch, she is generally the first member who greets you. She is one of the rocks of Pugslife.
Well our Julie, was the lady who had all the seniors Pugs. She had Noah, Sheba and our Queen Mum, well she was the Queen Mum of the Bad boys and Girls Club, Darla and then there is the baby of the family Buggy. Julie lost her first one Noah and sadly quickly after that followed Sheba, Darla was made of sterner stuff and she had lots to do, she had her little brother Buggy to keep under control and of course Mum had to be told how to go about things. Sadly last year Julie lost Darla to the Bridge which left Buggy. Well as Julie would say herself, the Good Lord was not one to leave things like that and Julie heard about this dog who needed a home. He was a Big Guy, a gentle giant who came into her life and Buggy and gave the old boy a new lease of life. Bear is a Chow chow/Bernese cross and our first honorary Pug. Julie even had to move house to accommodate him, her landlord was not happy with the introduction of a big dog. Julie moved up into the Mountains and was happy there until the weather moved in and she knew she could not stay there, but in the mean time, our bonny fighter, Julie who is very active in rescue work, heard people discussing putting down this little dog and Julie being Julie, said she would take her and voilà, we have our second Honorary Pug Zoe.
Julie has since moved back to her town and taken up her old life again, gone are the critters and the Bears but still Bear and Zoe and of course our Buggy.
We salute you Julie, you are an example to us all.
