This poor guy has been up there all morning, and the crows are circling him squawking like mad.  My mom lives sort of behind me, and she has been watching him all morning so afraid he is going to fall of the top.  Didn't know that groundhogs could climb that high, but I sure hope he comes down soon.

Oops, sorry t hear that it wasn't a groundhog but a possible rabied raccoon. I came home yesterday morning to the garden full of feathers. I suspect a Sparrow hawk and a wood pigeon, I realise everything has to eat specially when they are raising young, but I do wish they would take the dashed thing away and pluck it there. Hektor had fun watching me picking up all of the feathers.

Well Pug Chick her is the funny thing, it was not a groundhog, it was raccoon who is believed to have rabies.  The local .police tried to dart it, pellet it, b b it, and that sucker would not let go.  They were here for about two hours, and finally gave up and left saying call if it starts t come down.  It came down, I called, and it got away, so who knows now where the little sucker went to, but we all need to be careful because I am sure it is still around somewhere
