I am so so proud and pleased to announce that Yesterday morning at 7.15 am my little Flo began to give birth to 4 beautiful little pug puppies...

She finished labour at 10. am. Three of the puppies were breech, but Flo handled everything so well, like a great Mummy.

Unfortunately I lost 1 little girl around 2pm, she just wasnt strong enough, and passed away as she cuddled up to her Mummy.

Its still very early days, but we have 1 little darling girl, and 2 chunky little boys to now love, nourish and care for..

A big thank you to my Flo for being the best Mum ever.. xxx

I'm so sorry on losing those two little angels.  I just can't take news like this any more very well. :(  Such beautiful innocent little creatures having to leave the world so early is heartbreaking.

So Sorry Jane, I am so far behind on all the posts and just read this -

I am not religious either, but I know God brings home those he needs the most.  It really is out of our hands when they are called.

You are a good mommy.

Aww Jane I am so very sorry to hear that you lost him.  He felt the need to be with his angel sister :(

My heart breaks for you.  Please make sure to take care of yourself -- exhaustion can be the enemy of caregivers.

So sorry Jane, sometimes it is just not meant to be but it doesn't make it easier, You fought hard for him and I am truly sorry it did not work out.

So sad when that happens, I know Sue my breeder was very reluctant to breed Hektor's Dad and Mum again because of the size of that litter, like yours it was nine and though she lost one of that litter all the rest survived. I know she waited till the last thing before breeding them again and I think she had seven. I know the work your are doing, it is tough and specially when you see them failing. Hang in there Jane, he may surprise you. I hope so.

Thanks again for the lovely comments... Going through a hard patch at the moment... The smallest boy has had trouble feeding.. His suck doesn't seem very hard, so I've been  expressing Flos milk to feed him, but now he just seems so weak that he isn't interested any more  its so heartbreaking to try everything, and watch this little one begin to wither.... I'm not overly religious, but I am praying for his little soul..

The other 2 (a huge boy, and a cute girl) are feeding wonderfully and crawling about everywhere and seem very happy and healthy..

It sees so strange that Flos last litter of 9, where all tiny, yet all survived and made for gorgeous healthy pugs.. and now I've lost a girl, and seem to be losing a boy...but I refuse to give up on him, and I will fight for his little life.. I've only had 7 hours sleep since Monday evening, just too scared to leave him... But I am a Pug Mum, and this is what Pug Mums do.. x

Mazel Tov Flo!  You are a champ Flo.

We also had a litter of four three years ago, one boy did not survive, but we also had one darling litte girl and two chunky boys.  Now, the little girl's not so little anymore -- one of her nicknames is Cutlet!  She is still much shorter than her big brothers, and has a much smaller head, but her belly is unfortunately catching up to them!

You are going to have a wonderful time with the grandpugs!  Please keep the photos coming and kisses all around for Flo and her family.
