Today, I scheduled surgery for Maynard.

On August23rd he will be neutered, will have a umbilical hernia repair,  stenotic nares laser correction, a possible soft palate resection and a microchip placement.

The Vet put fear in my heart when he said that I might think that Maynard's nose look like a pig snout after the surgery.  Was he teasing me???

I love this little guy so much.  I am so nervous for him.  I hope I am doing the right thing for him by having the stenotic nares correction.  He is having problems catching his breath.

I hope the little guy is doing well today.  I love those two, they are so cute together.  Pics of Maynard please! :)  When you get time.

Thanks everyone for reassuring me that Maynard will be fine and feeling better after his surgeries. I have been worried about how I was going to seperate the M&Ms while Maynard recovers.  Well, our neighbor watched them for us this past weekend & enjoyed them so much that she has volunteered to take Matilda while Maynard recovers. Pug Chick to answer your question "yes" we are going to have Matilda spade.

Will be thinking of you and sweet Maynard.  He will be fine.  Are you going to have Matilda spade?

If he is having problems catching his breath sounds like you are a good mom to help him. good luck happy positive toughts going your way.

We will be thinking about him but I am sure your Vet is teasing you. so many have surgery for just these things and poor little Maynard will be feeling a lot better once it is all done. Believe me Hektor was bouncing after his neutering surgery. They told me to keep him quiet, haha, first thing he did was jump up onto the sofa. Doubt we could do these sort of things,

We will be thinking of him on the day he goes into surgery.

I think the vet is just teasing you but I can understand why you are worried. If you look at pictures online of dogs before and after stenotic nare surgery I am sure it will put your mind at rest :) I think you are doing the best thing getting everything done together so you are minimising the amount of times being spend under anaesthetic. I am sure little Maynard will be fine and will be looking for his mammy when he wakes up.
I was constantly on the phone when rufus got neutered checking how he was so I know exactly how I would be if I was in your shoes. If he is having difficulty catching his breath then I would definitely say you are doing the right thing. Let us know how he gets on x

Oh boy that's a lot for one of the wonder twins to be going through! :)  I'm sure he was just kidding, but whatever he looks like after doesn't matter to him, he will still love you!  All that matters is you are doing what you think is best for him after advice from Vets.  He will come though with flying colours, he has super villains to take into custody.
