Social network for pugs and their people.
We just spent a week in Concan, TX, relaxing on the Frio River. We stayed in cute little cabins, and spent lots of time in and around the water. Sandy and Bug had mixed reviews of the whole thing, lol. Bug went right in the water and seemed to like it, but didn't like swimming so much. She didn't really like the rocky footing either. Sandy wanted no part of the water. She did get in when we strongly encouraged her... okay, we made her get in. And she can actually swim. She really glared at us though. She has trouble breathing when her head is tipped back so swimming is not so great. We only tortured her one time, just to see if she could swim, just in case we ever needed to know that. The water did cool her off so no panting after swimming, I think she did like that part.
Both dogs stayed in the cabin for the most part. I got sunburned the first day we tubed so I was there with the dogs a lot after that - they liked that best!
My grandson (3 years old) had a grand time, he loves the water. He liked tubing for the first 3 hours of what was supposed to be a 1 1/2 hour tube, then had a small melt down, ending with him falling asleep with his Mommy in her tube. I thought 3 hours was pretty darn good for a 3 year old. I was ready to be done after about 2 hours, hahaha!
Hope everyone's having a fun summer!
You can just barely see the result of new red harnesses mixed with water... lol... pink Pugs!
