Hi everyone.

Back here again with another eye problem for Bella. Another ulcer that happened from something going in her eye!

She has had a corneal graft to save it but the vet now recommends eyelid surgery to help prevent another problem.

Has anyone got any experience/pictures of this surgery.

Thanks

My mum's pug had the surgery for entropia (sp?), too and it has helped her immensely.  I was surprised how fast Polly recovered from the surgery.  The care afterwards is easy and helps promote the healing.  Let us know what you decide.  :0)

If you mean she has Entropion then yes, Hektor had surgery over a year ago and is fine. Would have been easier if my Vet had referred him as soon as he started with the constant conjunctivitis. A very simple procedure which will go well. He had the problem where the bottom corner of both his eyelids were too tight for his eyes, he needed two small pieces removed which then took the constant friction off his eyes. I know that Laura Cook also had this done for her Pug shortly before Hektor and he was fine also. Terri aka Pug Chick had the same thing done for Puga, she says her operation was fine but she says Puga was left with a bit of a droop but I think this is a small price to pay. If you imagine what you feel with a hair in your eye, you will know how it must feel for dogs with this going on day in and out.

Try contacting The Wee Women, I know Hektor had something done not long ago on his eye, she might be able to tell you more
