One of our members, who also advertises here, recently did a pitch for her business on Dragon's Den Canada.  If you want to watch it here it is.....

But there wasn't any pugs. :(

I also hate the investors.  Three of them were the typical lets help humans before we help animals argument.  Can't we do both.  One of them said we should basically put the dogs down when they get to this state.  Only one was able to understand why people do this.  In my case my Zoe was slowly losing the use of her rear legs and she couldn't control her potty, but other than that she was not in any pain and was as happy as ever.  Am I supposed to put her down because of that.  We won't even allow humans to commit suicide when they are terminally ill and are in incredible pain.  I think the format of the show, and most reality shows, doesn't allow you to give all the information you would like to since there is never the time you need.

Anyways, Anne-Marie did a great job with her pitch and got the one "nice" dragon to invest.  I know I could never have gone up on TV and did a pitch, that must have been nerve wracking. Too bad she didn't have a Pug model though.

Thanks Konrad. I appreciate the support. I knew going in they were not dog people so I was prepared for their reaction - still disappointing though. At least David understood. I would have loved to have pug models. The dogs that accompanied me were from the Toronto Humane Society and did a great job. The producers helped make the arrangements and though I did request a pug none were available. :(

Glad she got an investor, she seems to have a very useful product and yes certainly with these you could keep an incontinent dog going.
