Have you noticed how easily it is for Pug People to be drawn into bad habits, well at least it is for me. Hektor used to get Logic (as in the Doggy Toothpaste) chews. He had one per night after dinner and he loved them. Unfortunately the manufacturer decided as is their right to change the consistency of their medium bone and it made it impossible to cut them in half for Hektor to be able to hold and chew them and he did not like the overly thick ones. So I found these different ones in our local pet store. These are called 8-1 Delights and they had a little strip of dried chicken embedded  in them. Then this supply dried up and I was forced to get them from the internet. I finally found them in our local Garden Centre which meant I could still buy in bulk without the postage. Recently it has been impossible to get there, so I got dental chews from my local supermarket, now he first liked them and was happily chewing them until his stupid Mum decided to put a little bit of chicken in them. Now this works if there is room, but it does not always, so the rugs were being turned over this morning because the bone I gave him lacked chicken and there I was trying my hardest to stuff a little chicken down the side of a bone which was so tough. So you see what I mean about bad habits, they are not his, they are mine.

I said it before that my husband said that if anybody from another planet was looking down at us and saw all the things we do for our dogs, they would think that the dogs were the superior being, and we were their slaves.  I can only said that I don't think I would have it any other way.

Oh Obedience of course, I am so obedient you just don't know, Pugs can talk, they just do not use words, gestures only, like turn up the corners of the rugs, then run when you know Mum is on the warpath.

hehe I like that, what class would you compete in at Crufts?

My Hubby and I used to say that we were so well trained we could win a medal at Crufts. You think after nearly 20 years of owning Pugs I would not create a rod for my back, but no there I am stuffing another bone this afternoon.

The things we do for our little babies, they do have us well trained, and people without dogs think our pets are spoiled.

I'm sorry Helena the bit where you are frantically trying to stuff chicken in the bone before the rug gets ripped apart just makes me laugh out loud!  I can just see it in my mind. We sure think we are too smart for our own good sometimes and I agree with your sentiment:)
