What a beautiful day it was today!!! Daisy got me up at 6 am this morning; she let me sleep in an extra hour today and I'm thankful to her for it. We got up together to a lonely kitchen and went out to potty; then in for breakfast. I sat and had coffee while they ate and ran around the kitchen playing. We had a couple of things to do around the house so we got started a little early and by 10:30, we were ready to go play in the yard. Grannie was was out working on the garden by the pound, digging and planting so we all decided to go visit her. We grabbed the collars and 2 20 foot leashes and made our way down to the back of the yard. This was Daisy's first real time playing in the grass as she just got her first shots last week and hasn't been allowed out until then. She loved it!!! She was rolling around with her tongue hanging out the side, she was pulling up little weeds and would look up at me with them hanging out of her mouth....she clumsily tripped and fell into the garden and discovered DIRT!! Daisy thought this was just too yummy to walk away from, so she laid herself right down and started chowing away. Lila on the other hand, jumped up in the Adirondack chair and laid there watching and checking stuff out. She loves to lay in the sun. We stayed outside for about an hour, but they both seemed to be panting even with water available; and they felt so warm to me. I took them inside and put some lukewarm water in the tub and they jumped in and I wet them down to make sure they were cooled. Daisy was a little unsure about the tub thing, but she got over really quick. Then we dried off and hopped in bed together and took a nap.
It was a good day to just hang out and spend time with them.....is it possible to love a creature as much as I love the 2 of them??
