We went camping to the Grand Canyon this weekend. It was Lucy's first camping trip at age 12. She had a blast; Sassy and Daisy showed her the ropes. She wasn't too fond of her camping sweater, but it was a wee bit chilly up there at the campfire. :0)

Ah, a whole week off! I love the perks teachers get, and I love this extra time with my girls. We have long breakfasts (with lots of yummies for the pugs), and we linger over a whole pot of tea. What could be better than lots of time and lots of puggies?
As I sit her at my computer they are all stretched out in sunbeams getting solar powered. I'll just finish this last cup of tea and then we'll get busy with laundry. I can't wait till… Continue

My elderly pug, Lucy, is back to stay with us. She had been living with my parents, but she has so many medications and my parents can't give her the exercise she needs, so she's back in our puggy herd! Now my parents just have the little black pug, Suzi, who is one year old. We live so close, it's like living all together anyways. We're so happy to have our old gal…

I'm so excited. My pugs, Sassy and puppy, Daisy May, won the summer pug contest on Yahoo's Pugforum! Here's the link to see them: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/PUGFORUM/
I entered the picture I have posted on my page here; it's from Daisy's first camping trip and it's entitled, "Colorado or Bust!" :0)

We went up to Potato Patch on Mingus Mountain for a couple of days of relaxation. The weather was perfect and the puggies had a good time. You can really feel September in the air now!
Lucy had another breathing episode, so we left her at home in good hands with a pet sitter. She's doing much better now.

Well, I came home last week and thought Daisy's incision was opening. There was a piece of skin hanging, no blood, but there was drainage. I called the doc after hours, raced to the clinic with Daisy, who was oblivious to the emergency. She was just excited to go for a car ride without Sassy!
Well, got there and the doc took her, looked at the incision, eeeek..pulled of the "skin" off and said, "Relax Pam, everything is OK!" It was dried drainage and hair! He said the slight drainage… Continue

Daisy May woke up from anesthesia without a problem. Thank you God! Today is her first day at home after her spaying and she is doing wonderfully. I chuckled when I read the doctor's instruction to keep her quiet! Hmmm.... keep a pug puppy down, that'll be the day. But, we are limiting her activities and including more crate time (she loves her cave!) to help her healing. Sassy is being very attentive and Bentley the cat seemed to miss her when she was at the clinic. It's all… Continue

Well, Daisy goes in to the Vet tomorrow. She's going to be spayed, but I'm a little nervous. She's so little!

Here are my gals on vacation or should I say, napping as usual! Now what are my puggies going to do? I go back to school on Wednesday; I'll miss them so much. I'm so used to being with them 24/7!
