Holiday Designs

I haven't had much opportunity to socialize here in the last few weeks. I have been busy adding various new designs and new products to our online stores (at CafePress and Zazzle). Just thought I would share one silly design with you all. I apologize to any gnome fans out there who take offense!

You know how I am always joking about Lizzy being such a devil dog, well let me tell you her new trick.  She thinks that I am her play toy, and my hands are the chew bone.  She is forever biting my hands, well not biting, no broken skin, but it hurts, and the more I tell her NO, the more she thinks it is fun.  Now my hands do not hold up well this time of year, so with her doing her little nibble, I am sure that by the time we get through Winter, my hand modeling career will be over.  HEHE. …

This am I found a shredded pack of sugarless gum wrappers.  One of the pugs took it out of my son's jacket.  He thinks there may have been a piece or two left but isn't sure.  I don't know who did it and the ingredient xylothol is lethal to dogs.  I rushed all three to the vet and they are going to get their stomach pumped as a precaution.  From there we will know if someone ate it and then that one will need medical care.  I'll keep you posted.

New family member

It was like a little whirlwind of joy entering our home last night.  Life is such a roller coaster.  We only very recently and unexpectedly lost our guy Orson last week.  We are still devastated, and will always always miss him, he was the best dog I've ever had.  I've never before felt such pain.

But as life works in funny ways, over the weekend we met a handsome black 6 year old fella that was in dire need of a loving home.  His family gave him up to our local pug rescue because he…

We went out of town to shop for a few things, & took her w/us. Pug face

My baby boy has something on his face. I don't know what it is but it's white and swollen. I looked up and thought it was something like the pug acne but it's really huge. I'm concerned. I haven't said anything to the vet because it's only been a couple days and the office is closed because of the holiday. I hope someone can maybe help me out. I posted a picture of what's on his face.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Frank & his family would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate it).  We also want to give our best to all of the other Puggy families out there & hope that the upcoming holidays are festive.  For those Puggy families who are spending their first holidays without their special little friends, always remember the happiness they brought to your life & be thankful that you were a part of theirs.

Our best to you and yours, and wishing you nothing…

Giving Thanks

The Waxmonsky family here in Pennsylvania would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  As I give thanks this year it will be for this wonderful family I have grown to love and care about.  We are one, know matter where we live, and we share in each others happiness and tears.  As I have said before, you guys have helped me through these last several months, making Lily's trip to the Rainbow Bridge so much easier.  So we here in Bristol want to say thank you again for being a part of…

Please Pray for Buffy! :0(

My darling 12 year old newly adopted rescue, Buffy, had a fall off the bed and now has a severe herniated disc.  She has never attempted to jump, and was in bed with me because she was my little nurse as I was sick.  I think Sassy and Daisy heard something and jumped off, or perhaps she was bumped off.  No matter the reason, poor Buffy is in terrible pain.  She's on Prednisone and pain killers.  We can't get her to eat or drink.  I'm so sick about this.  Finally she has a home that loves her…

Celebrating Pug Differences

I took Jack to the vet for a nail trim and an ear cleaning. I envy those of you who are able to trim your pug's nails. Jack likes to squirm whenever you are doing any grooming with him and given how sensitive the nails are I would rather leave that to a professional. I feel pretty good about doing the ear cleaning and do that in between vet visits but my vet does a nice job getting all that gross gunk out of there that I don't mind having him do that when we go for the…

Hi Everyone,

Not been posting much recently, so i thought id check in and say "Hi."

Miley is her usual cheeky self! She has a little friend next door (hes a black poodle) they love barking at each other over the fence :) We meet a little shih-tzu on our morning walks - hes soooo cute.

We've got her coat out ready for the cold weather. She has started sleeping inside the bed, shes so sweet. She nuzzles her head under the cover and crawls in, shes like a little hot water…

Lizzy v Pixie

Do you all remember the store that Pug Chic told of the house sitter and Pixie and the bubblebath, we I think Lizzy is running in Miss Pixie's footsteps.  Last night around 10 pm I am taking my bath, and as always Linus and Lizzy are right there with me.  They love the soap, when I lather up, they are right there trying to lick it off.  Anyway, they were both right there last night, and the next thing I know Lizzy is in the tub with me.  Nothing like having to dry off a wet dog at 10 pm at…

massaging your pug... please

hi, I love my millie and about 4 days ago I started feeling like she had a headache or pain in her face, just the way she would move her face towards my hand while I petted her. Being a nationaly certified pfrimmer therapist, I started massaging her face and neck, I was doing this every time I sat with her. well this morning while I was at the computer millie kept putting her paws on me and was pulling on my hand? I went and sat on the couch and she crawled right up on me, I believe she…

I am so excited I am leaving the dental field after 12 years! I landed a reception job at a VET CLINIC! yaah! I have been trying to get in for a long time now! big change for me and 40% off vet services! and on another note a rescue got 2  unfixed pugs from a reserve with bad demodex! the foster parent said bad sores and smelly! but at least they were saved and will be fixed when they are better so this is great news altogether they got 100 dogs and pugs from this reserve !

~Buffy was adopted....and I'm NOT crying!~

That's right! I'm not sad because WE adopted her! This foster mom gig just drove me crazy. Jeff and I found ourselves "aging" her at adoption events and telling prospective adoptive parents she was 13 going on 14, TOTALLY blind, and TOTALLY deaf! (She's 12, very low vision, and hard of hearing, but gets around just fine!) So, we decided since she fit into our family… Continue

I'm Back...

I feel so bad that I haven't been back in a while! We had two birthdays in the family, one of which falls on Halloween, so that's always a big event around here. I tried to carve a vampire pug with mixed results (I wanted a scary jack-o-lantern.) I will post photos tomorrow. (I promise. It's on my to-do list in my phone, so the phone will bark at me if I don't. I'd do it now but it seems i can't upload from my iPad.)

Also I hope I haven't over-extended myself, social media-wise. Is… Continue

Bella and I just came back from a very busy weekend. I turned 21 on Sunday and the family loaded up and drove to Grapevine for the Pug-O-Ween festival. It was a fun time, Bella was dressed as a purple butterfly and the place was full of adorable pugs, both big and small. There was a costume contest, which we didn't enter due to getting to the event late.

My mom got me a pug scarf, t-shirt, coasters, and small wall hanging.  My apartment has somehow developed a dog theme…

"Update my boy milo still has them and is 10 soon. Raw diet calms the severity and frequency but he had one just now. He spaced out, got dizzy and flopped over onto his side. Went rigid for ten seconds and back to normal"
