Now Hektor and I are curled up together today, it is miserable out and we both had a trip down to the Park and a visit to the local pet store where he got a new birdie to chew and a bone. It is the wee man's third birthday and he has not met any friends so we thought we would have a Virtual Birthday Party with all his friends.
We sent the invitations out and everyone came, the boys as usual propped up the bar drinking Highland Spring out of silver bowls and chewing on mini bones. The… Continue

My little pug pup named Lizzy
Who drives everyone into a tizzy
Cutest little pug
With a sweet black mug
She runs through the house
Scampering like a little mouse
Stealing all the food
Putting Lily and Linus is a very bad mood
Her teeth like to bite, bite, bite
Leaving Linus's neck a site
All she wants to do is play
So do not ask her to sit and stay
Because this little Lizzy
Will only make your head go… Continue

I was thinking, always dangerous for me, about all the people here who are really talented, we have artists, sculptors, writers. All inspired by the Pug, apart from one who is inspired by the French Bulldogs, but loves Pugs too.
Is there another breed of dog who has inspired so much I wonder?

Ok, so maybe I'm not the best at getting out on walks twice a day, and maybe Sangmu gets fed a lot of vegetable scraps. Despite these facts, I never thought that she would reach 20 pounds. We went to the vet for a check up a few months ago and when the nurse weighed her, she said, "oh my. Little Sangmu's twenty pounds! I'll make a note of that." Thats when I started to get worried. Her Vet told us that it probably wasn't a good idea for her to gain any more… Continue

I think this was a blog before, but I was to talk weight. When we were at the vet the other day everyone got weighed, and I am thinking that Linus is too thin. The vet didn't say anything, but I am thinking wow. Lizzy at three months weighed in at 7.5, Lily at 12 weighed in 15.5, she is loosing because of her age, now here is the thin one. Linus at 1 weighs only 12.5. Does anyone agree that that seems kind of low for a male at a year.

The three day weekend had finally arrived, the '54 Chevy had been loaded the night before with all the camping gear and food stuffs. All that was left now was to board Ichabod, Gypssy and Duncan into the back seat, hook the trailer and boat up and the adventure would begin.
As we left the driveway, the weather forecaster once again said the Seattle area would have rain for the weekend, this was of no concern to us for our destination was just on the other side of… Continue

One day two little puggies were born, sisters who just loved to play, sleep and eat together. They just about did everything together, even go home to the same family. The sisters were very happy in their new home, they had a new mommy, daddy, and brother who loved and played with them. They would grow up and get to travel all over with their family, and this gave them much joy. They never would have thought when they were born that they would get to travel to so many different places and meet… Continue

It was a tranquil summer's day some many years ago, the maple and oak trees were at full splendor with large multi hued green leaves adorning them. The bee's and butterflies were flitting from one patch of wild flowers to another seeking a momentary place to rest for one, a pollen and nectar gathering journey for the other. The sun was just beginning to crest the magnificent mountains to the East of us, taking away dawns light and replacing the shadows in the valley with… Continue

Hi, My neighbor leaves their pug outside all day and night. Over the summer I went over and knocked on the door because I could see and hear the pug through the fence panting out of control like it was going into heat stroke. They didn't do anything. And now with the tempertures dropping, I'm just so mad at them. But, I guess I can't do anything. Any suggestions???

Our church blessed the animals today, and of course we went. Lily was very good, however she is really under the weather, not feeling well at all. Lizzy wasn't sure what to think about all the dogs, 4 of which were pugs. And then there was Linus, he was a bad boy, just kept barking and barking, hair standing up. The priest did manage to give him a good hit with the holy water. Do you think it will help him out? LOL
