The kids and I sat on the living room floor enjoying a crackling fire, savoring the warmth that was gently carressing us. It was a cool October evening, the leaves had been turning a miriade of colours as they always do this time of year. We had been taking short evening drives after I finished work for the day to enjoy the beautiful sights that the nearby forests so graciously provided for us. We would take roads lined on either side with birch, cottonwoods, elm and oak,…

So everyone's really acting weird lately. I really don't understand. First, when mommy sits on the couch, it usually means it's cuddle time and I go up to join her. Now, her lap keeps getting smaller. I try to find space but then she has the nerve to send me back to the floor! Personally, I think she should cut down on those scones and cookies. It's all going in her midsection. She can't even keep up with me on our walks.
That's the next thing...I have to sit…

Dear fellow Pug Lovers,
My Pug Maggie has developed an itchy tail. I took her to the vet and they put her on steroids which took care of the problem. However, once the steroids wore off, the itch returned. The skin is a little bit red and there is a strange smallish white lump. But the vet didn't seem concerned. They put her on flea care even though no sign of fleas was found.
**Has anyone had any success with a topical ointment or oil that I might try? The vet didn't seem to…

As some of you already know we have a new foster pug named Louie. I got a call on Sat. that a foster family about an hour north of us needed to re-foster a 5-6 yr old male pug. They had been fostering Louie for about a month when the wifes sister had a stroke and had to come live with them and bring her two dogs. Which put the total dogs in the home at nine. Way to many especially since many of them were males. The lady from SEPRA (Southeastern Pug Rescue…

For all my friends out there, I just have to tell you that while I am sitting her on the computer typing away, Lily is playing and in the middle of a pug fight. It is so good to see her wagging her tail and having fun. I am so happy right now.

Hello all,
We've had a busy few weeks, so ive not been on for a while. Just getting back to normal now so thought I'd update you.
Miley has now been spayed.........and just for a change, it wasnt straight forward. Everything went ok with the operation but they found that she only had half a uterus. The vet said it was a good job we decided to have her done rather than have a litter, she would have either had complications or wouldn't have been able to carry pups. At…
