Oh no ... bad bad behavior .... that I can't seem to get uncontrol. Please Help!

Now that Maynard & Matilda are almost 7 months old .... they think they own the world.  Talk about spoiled little puggies.  Whenever I take them on walks & we pass anyone .... people walking .... bicyclist ..... people walking their pets ..... my cute pugs turn into vicious little black demons.  It is just terrible and so embarrasing.

Just a little update

Some of you may know that I had a blog on Hektor and his allergies recently which resulted in me ditching my Vets advice and seeking my own road with his itchy spots.

Two weeks ago Hektor had a large bald spot on his neck, he had  this more or less for at least three years. We thought originally that his chest plate of his harness had worn the hair off, but he never seemed to be able to grow this in as he was constantly scratching. Since becoming aware that he has classic symptoms of…

Looking for Advice for 12 year old Pug Roxie

Hi everyone!  I have a 12 year old Pug, Roxie.  She is still full of life and very active.  She was recently diagnosed with arthritis in her spine.  She still wants to walk and run, but her back end swings far to the side, she falls etc.  The vet agrees that she is otherwise healthy and alert.  He perscribed Rimadyl twice a day, but it is not doing much good.  Is there anyone out there with a similar situation?  How can I help her be more comfortable and get around easier?

The State of Kloe Address.....

Kloe is 5 months old as of yesterday and I just weighed her, 12lbs.  She has finished puppy training and in October wil be going to basic obedience.  So far no health problems and she is a very well behaved little puppy.  She does seem to get car sick on an empty stomach.  Potty problems still abound, but we have lots of patience for that.  She has fit right in with her brother and sister (non pugs) Jake and Abbey.  They both just love playing with her and she loves cuddling up to them in…

This is a Pug Site isn't it?

I'm not trying to come off as negative or ugly but I have a couple of small gripes with photos that are posted on this otherwise great site.

I see lot of pictures uploaded of all kinds of things other than pugs. I see high school pictures, pics of people taking pics of themselves, I see landscape pictures, pictures of windows, pictures of walls, pictures sometimes of cats, horses, and various other animals other than pugs.

I also have seen pictures that lets face…

Worried about Pugsley

Thanks for the welcomes guys. Hope I'm posting this right. Our Pugsley been recuperating for about 7 days since he got bit in the face from a chihuahua. She ripped thru his extra eyelid and some blood vessels. We thought he was going to lose sight in that eye but seems to be ok. But now under how his lips hang it looks like its extremely irrated. I don't know if this is from the cone he wore for a week or what. It almost looks like the acne he got as a puppy just really sore and infected. One… Continue

I am in American heaven!

Our local Tesco (supermarket) has just opened an American isle and needless to say, I got a bit over excited.

I LOVE American sweets and was literally like a kid in a sweet shop...

I have bought butterfingers, pay day, a jar of reeces peanut butter, box of lucky charms cereal (this hasn't been out in the UK since I was a child) jolly rancher pop and best of all they now stock the 100% pure pumpkin for Rufus that I searched high and low for!

I can see my diet…

Anal Glands

I know that we have all discussed this before, and this is how I found this site, but I have a question to ask.  Does anyone have a pug who marks with anal flood on an almost daily basis.  I have check Linus and his sacks seem to be empty, but he stills leaves marks at least once a day, and they are almost always on me or by me.  I am thinking is he marking me as his own, or does he have a problem.  I have not asked the vet as I never really think about it when I am there, and I will have to…

Dog Food

I am in a terrible bind, everyone who knows me knows that because of various allergies I changed Hektor onto raw food nearly two years ago.

To cut a long story down to size Hektor started showing signs of problems  when he turned three and we spoke to the Vet then and the suggestion was to remove him from the Royal Canin Pug Specific we were feeding him on and feed him Wafcol Salmon and Potato, We did this for a few months, at first he seemed fine but then we started to have visits to…

Need a good harness that fits

OK so we have gone through several different kinds of harnesses, thought I had a good one until this evening when Linus slipped right out of his while we were trying to get past a pit in its yard.  Thank goodness he listened to me when I told him to stop.  Got him back into his harness and we went on our way.  Almost home Lizzy decides to poop, and I am about to clean it up when a dog comes from another yard and both Linus and Lizzy now decide to go after the dog.  This time I could tell…
