Riggs does not think he is spoiled. According to him he does not have enough stuffed animals, food, treats, Nylabones, etc…
I showed Riggs the following photos and pointed out to him why he is.
I’m seeking investors to help me finance a television show called The Biggest Dog Loser. Ok, the title may need to be changed but I’m imagining a show where doggy trainers help man’s best friend to lose weight. I’d be happy to make Jack a contestant on the show because he needs to drop a couple pounds and I’m not sure I’m the right guy to be his trainer.
I took Jack to the vet last week for his annual round of shots and routine grooming. As soon as the vet said “let’s get you on the…Continue
I am having some mixed feeling on what to do with Lily. She has had a bad couple of days, having a hard time pooping, and today she peed in the house twice, which Lily never did before. Her legs are just not holding her up enough to go to the bathroom. I don't feel like she is in pain or suffering, but then I think maybe she is, and I am being unfair to her to keep us happy. My husband got mad at me today as I was really upset about her peeing in the house and sitting in it. Then later…Continue
So, I'm back in Dallas for the weekend and enjoying some time with my family. My mom commented on how spoiled Bella is, as usual. We laughed at my Belle when she made the footstool her own personal doggie chair. She just thinks everything that is doggy sized belongs to her.
Eventually, we got on the subject of Bella's recent health scare and talked over what course of action to take next. In the middle of our conversation, my mom dropped a bit of information that I didn't want to…Continue
Everyone must read this amazing story about Harley the Pug who ate and pooped 100 rocks! He is ok btw.
Ohio Pug Rescue is getting in 50 pugs from puppy mills (Yes that is 5 - 0). If there is anyone iin Ohio who would like to learn to foster a pug please go to the Ohio Pug Rescue website for contact info - or message me and I will get you to the right person.
I am fostering a pug and it has been very rewarding. In fact she is going to be adopted by us probably. But otherwise it is a great network of folks in Ohio. We are one of the worst puppy mill states. The only cost to the…Continue
I haven't posted in a while here on Pugslife, and boy do I miss this site. Bella is doing well, well...except for our trip to the vet this morning. We visited my family in San Antonio and Bella was able to mingle with the people I grew up with. She was welcomed with open arms and after returning to Austin, I deemed the weekend a success. Then this morning happened.
I woke up at around 8:00 AM and it was time to take Bella outside. After we wandered into the street, Bella…Continue
What a long haul, but yay Sophie's walking again!!! Only challenge now is that she dragging her hind leg so now her little nails are bleeding, I put neosporin and gauze on it and I have baby socks! Any ideas on how I can keep the sock on her??? I was going to buy her a shoe but I had some pad booties from when Sasha was licking her paws and those things just don't work, they just don't stay on!!!
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Thanks for…Continue
Hi everyone. Last I wrote was May 5th. On May 13th Dave and I were in a pretty bad car accident in our 3 day old Convertible. We were at a dead stop and got rear ended by a truck. We almost always have 1 dog with us, but it was hot and we were going to get flowers for the garden.
Thank God Pugsley (aka Wubby) or the others were not in the car with us, we were hit so hard and had the top down, he would have been ejected from the car and killed. So I am writing this for 2 reasons, to say…

Meet Buffy, our 12 year young Foster Puggy from APARN (Arizona Pug Adoption & Rescue Network). Buffy came to stay with us on Sept. 10th and she's looking for her "forever home". She's very perky for 12; acts like she's 6! She's so low maintenance, not like my two spoiled brats and the only meds she has is for dry eye twice a day. Buffy enjoys walking with us, but…Continue

My poor Frank has a major hot-spot, and I didn't even know it until Saturday when we were giving him a bath!!!! Makes me feel so bad for him.....also makes me feel really bad for not noticing it earlier. Went to PetSmart & got a hot-spot spray, so hopefully it will help. Now, I just need to keep him from scratching the area, not going to be easy since it's in a spot that an e-collar won't protect.
