About 10 minutes ago Lucas was snooping around in the shed, I had a cabinet door ajar, snoopy opened the door up a bit and started sniffing and rooting around. I thought nothing of it and went about my business, as I was turning around to go back outside I looked at Lucas about the same time as I heard a snap. Lucas jumped about 4 feet into the air at the same time he was going backwards. I can still hear him outside giving that mousetrap the what for as I type this. Good thing his nose… Continue

Guinness just started urinating in the house, only as I put him away when I am about to leave. He pees through his baby gate, and will pee in his crate now. I think hes doing it for attention, but the attention is never good, not sure what to do. Have tried getting him tired, we walked about 3 miles this am, and he did it today. Any Suggestions, I love the guy, but its insane. I am not sure why he continues to do it. my friend thinks he may have a mental disorder, and I am starting to… Continue

PugSpeak's 8th Annual Pug Parliament was held Saturday in Overland Park, KS and it was a huge success! We had puggies (and humans) from both Missouri and Kansas. They spent the afternoon running, romping, and playing while their owners visited and dined on BBQ and wonderful side dishes brought by the group. It was a great afternoon! Everyone needs to see what the little black vampirette did to the little man in the family. I hope she is just giving him love bites, as she keeps going for the same spot on his neck. I think it is time to remove Linus from the bad boy bad girl club, and replace him with Lil Lizzy Bit or should I say Bite LOL. Linus is being so good, not even getting mad at her bless his heart, but she is doing a number on his neck. I said to my husband we need to watch her and if we see her go for the neck, we… Continue

Originally this guy was crazy red and bumpy... Took G to the vet and was prescribed Animax (topical anti-fungal/biotic). This did nothing, I then thought it may be a hotspot and tried to dry it out with benzocaine and alcohol. This made it look a lot better, but still looks awful and seems to be getting larger. Any ideas? I dont think my vet has a clue.…

my poor little guy has a crusty nose. I think because of the weather here in Arizona i mean it is a low 106 today. Does anyone have suggestions what I can put on his nose to help moisturize it?
Also, he has a tendoncy of getting on the couch and peeing on it. He will go several days, weeks even and then pee again. Im quite frankly tired of cleaning the cushions, does anyone else have this problem? I would love suggestions to break the habit and maybe something to use on the couch to… Continue

OK I need some helpful advise on this situation which is really driving me nuts right now. Linus will not let Lizzy have any of the chew toys, and if she goes to take one from him, I am not sure if he is just saying I am the boss, or he is mad. I am trying to get him to share with her, but it is hard. And than of course she comes back and takes what he has ofter I get them all settled down. I keep telling him let her have it we need to get rid of the teeth, but he does care he just wants to… Continue

Well it's been 72 hours since we got our new pug baby Pandora. The poor baby is underweight, has worms, has a cold, was crated way to much, was never trained to go to the bathroom outside, and inhales her food and water like she has never ate before. All the dogs seem to get along except Padrona is now showing some signs of dominance and a little aggression with toys and snacks which we will be working on… Continue

Well Lizzy is 10 weeks old today, and she is a real spit fire. She is giving Linus a run for his money, and he is very tired for a 1 yr old young man. It is fun to watch them play together, and see the changes in her daily. She has so much energy, I don't ever remember any of my pups having as much energy as this little girl has. If I can get a video of her doing her race, I will try and post it in the next couple days. She goes for her next shot tomorrow around 4:00, so I am thinking she will… Continue

Hi everyone, Continue
We went to a country show at weekend. Had a great time meeting new puggys and other dogs. There was a agility show on, so we watched for a while. When some horrid nasty lady came over laughing saying, "oh that pug doesnt do agility does it, its far to small it will never get over the jumps" GRRR i was so annoyed. Why dont people keep there opinions to themselves. I just gave her a nasty look and turned away.
Then later on another lady came up to us asking about Miley…
