Social network for pugs and their people.
On August23rd he will be neutered, will have a umbilical hernia repair, stenotic nares laser correction, a possible soft palate resection and a microchip placement.
The Vet put fear in my heart when he said that I might think that Maynard's nose look…Continue
I've been busy at work so haven't posted much about Kloe so here is some more info.
She is doing awesome, so well behaved most of the time. I've been taking her to clients and using the carry on I had to keep her in while at clients. She is an expert at riding in a vehicle now, we have done a lot of driving.
Stairs are almost no problem for her which is a problem for me now since she can get to more places. :)
I found a flea on her so everyone got the flea meds on…Continue
I had forgotten about those glands at the rear of a pug (well inside the rear). My Zoe didn't really seem to have the problem later in life and the other dogs haven't ever, but when Zoe was a pug and the first few years I was getting smeared by the stinky substance all the time when she would sit in my lap driving or just on the couch. I had to remember to clean the rear before she sat with me or I'd be stinky. Well I thought I smelled something off the other day, but tonight I had Kloe…Continue
Kloe was still inside, but I let Jake and Abbey out and bingo was his nameo, there was a skunk to chase. Jake got it full on and started drooling really bad. I sprayed them both off with water (they were both scarred of the spraying so it was hard). Then went to a late night vet and got some skunk off. They didn't have the shampoo, only the spray so I used that. Didn't work that well. Then Jake runs to the front yard and bingo was his nameo a 2nd time he comes back stinking of skunk.…Continue
Mike & I had someone ask us about the "One Bedroom Puppy Apartment" that we got for Shini when we got her @ just 4 months old. So we thought we would share it out here for all of you's (especially ones with new pups).
NOTE: What Mike & I did was went to Tractor Supply store & bought the same cage which comes with a divider & Mike cut out a…Continue

Got a text from my sister today & she went to take her hormone pill & it dropped out of her hand and rolled across the floor & before she could get to it, Cletus scarfed it up & swallowed it. LOL All is well, we are now watching for alot of happy signs. LOL Also Shini yesterday in her run from Buddy, somehow has hurt her paw. She is babying it a little bit, but as the day went on, she is acting like it is better. We can find no damage anywhere,…Continue
So we left off I was finally at Fran's. I forgot to say I met one of her grandson's in the car. I then met her husband Jim at the house and then got to meet all the animals. WOW! Three cats (I think, I never saw all three at once. :)), Lucky a medium sized dog (light brown in colour, I don't know what breed), Alvin the Rottie, Spike and Tuffie (both male pugs), Bebe (the mom of our lovely puppies), and the five puppies.
It was great getting to play with all the puppies. Everyone…Continue
Well sis says that Toko is doing fantastic! However my sister has renamed him Cletus! LOL long story, but she had a few names picked out & he would answer to none of them, so out of left field she called him Cletus & he came running, so it stuck. She calls or texts everytime he does something cute. Also beings in the country, she has been taking him outside with no leash, only his collar or harness & she said he has stayed right beside…Continue
Well as most already know, I went down to Phoenix to collect my new little lady Kloe. Why you say would you travel all the way to Phoenix when there must be pugs in your area? And how did the experience go? Well here is my story (well all that I'm allowed to tell). :)
My little Zoe passed away in February. I was missing her badly even though I have two other non pug dogs. I found pugslife and read a bunch of posts and looked at a bunch of pictures. Well that made things worse.…Continue
At the moment she is a little worried being in your arms while you are walking Everytime I pick her up she whines a bit a breathes a little strange. I think she just isn't used to being up high and she is a bit scarred.
My biggest problem is her not wanting to be in her wire enclosure. The second I put her down she starts to whine. Then she starts to try and escape by jumping. Then she starts climbing it. This morning I put her in it and went downstairs to make some breakfast…Continue

I bought some great stairs from dogquality.com last month so my 13yr old Abbey could get on and off the bed easily. It works great. And Kloe has already learned how to use them. She is scarred of regular stairs to the house and such, but these two stairs she loves to go up and down.
I need help .....
I am determine to learn to clip my little pugs toe nails myself. As you can imagine my little M&Ms do not like this grooming task. Little Matilda especially gets upset everytime I try. Don't laugh .... I even tried that battery operated doggie nail sander that was sold on T.V.( I actually found a brand new one at Goodwill for $5.00 .... well of course, they didn't like it .... the sound alone set them into fear fits. I was able to return…Continue
Its been five months since my Zoe passed away. Even in her last few years we didn't get to sit together as much, I'm busy and she liked it better on the ground. The last time I held her in my arms was when she went on to the rainbow bridge.
I'm sitting here getting caught up on some work and Kloe is sitting in my lap. Earlier I held her in my arms and we just sat there for a bit. Brought a few tears to my eyes. Thats why I had to get a pug again. My other two beautiful dogs just…Continue
Konrad and Kloe are home.. Sounds like Konrad was happy to get back. Of course I now think of a million places I could have taken him, while he was here. Sound like Kloe is making herself right at home also.
Konrad missed the Monsoon though.. I know how much he misses the rain. :-)
****A Special thanks for Konrad for coming, to Phoenix, Arizona.****Continue
