This morning when I logged onto Pugslife I had a message from my friend Brent regarding the Babies. We are both very disturbed with the number of real babies that are being sold by so-called breeders at ages when they should still be with their Mums and siblings.
So I want everyone to let anyone they know, who has fallen in love with our beloved breed of dog where they should go to purchase a puppy. We have to stop the Puppy Farms and Mills dead in their tracks because what these people are… Continue

Just thinking to myself is this just a strange coincidence, or is there something to be said about siblings. You know how they always say that twins somehow feels what the other is going through. Or should I say, being that I am not a twin, that is what I have heard happens. Anyway, I was thinking about Lulu, and what she went through last year. I know I have told you all about Lulu, but just bear with me here. She got somekind of ear infections of sorts back in April 2009, and up til the day… Continue

Last week Miley started with a slight limp, me being me "over protective" took her straight to the vet. Thinking they would say shes pulled something or got something in her pads. But no they said she had a Luxating Patella. We were referred for an appointment with the specialist (which was yesterday).
We had our appointment with the specialist yesterday. Miley definatly has a Luxating Patella but she is only grade 1, so she doesnt need an operation. She said it may… Continue

I took Milo out on his flexi lead decided to go on a long walk cus hes been getting a bit too squashy..He went to sniff a hedge and i walked ahead and his harness came clean off. so i was like walking a harness... WTH
He just stood there by the hedge with NOTHING on. Not even a collar. just a naked Milo in the middle of the street. I had to walk back to him, unclip the lead off of the harness, unclip the harness and put it back on him.

We had a very interested evening while sitting on our front porch. This girl was walking down our street and she did not have her dog on a leash. The dog got away from her, and ran past our house. Lily and Linus saw this and got very excited barking and going crazy. I thought she was well past us, but before I could react the dog started back toward us, jumped my neighbors little border fence and heady right toward us. I was yelling Linus no, I had already had Lily, but I was so afraid this dog… Continue

Lily gave us a scare today, when we came home from being out for about 1/2 hour, we found her lying on her side on the kitchen floor. She was sleeping, but she really didn't move at first, even when I touched her, and when she did move, it was only her eyes. I gave her a minute to make sure she was awake, still no getting up, finally I said to Henry I hope she is OK, and by then she got to her feet. Poor baby she must have been exhausted from the heat. She is OK now. but it really gave us a… Continue

I was sat on the kitchen floor with peawee and i saw Milo on the patio looking a big odd looking up in the sky to his right and he came in a bit weirded out and i saw a big bug on his face and noticed it was actually a big bumble bee stuck to his nose wrinkle. I swat it off and it fell on the floor then i grabbed my shoe and squat it! I thought it might have stung him. he seemed ok though but i thought it might have stung his eye as he had a mark right in the middle of his eye but fortunately… Continue

This is about Rusty, my 10 month old lab. Of late, he has become some sort of a skirt chaser :-) I mean it !! He gets excited when I change my clothes and tries to sniff wherever he can. He has also become an arse-licker and my hubby and I joke that he expects a promotion :-)
This problem has reached a stage where I just cannot wear short skirts or short dresses. And at times, it gets a little irritating too; as he even tries… Continue

Last evening while I was still at work, my hubby called me up to say that Tin Tin seemed to be in pain. He had stopped playing and was sitting in a funny position and moaning. My hubby felt that Tin Tin had hurt a leg, for it looked like he was limping. We were really concerned.... And then my hubby noticed that Tin Tin had something sticking out of his behind, perhaps his potty. On closer examination, it looked like a thin rope/string was sticking out; Tin Tin had… Continue

Lucas is unable to get on the couches as yet and see's the other kids on the throw pillows having a wonderful rest. These past few days he has been very determined to get one down on the floor for him. Reason I'm blogging this right now is: He just finished about a 5 minute stint working on a pillow and has managed to worry it down, he is now on top of it on the floor and quite content. He has been doing this for about three days now. What a personality also, he really has it all figured… Continue

Another dog show today.
Milo has a thing for coming third place.
We tried best condition but a spotty Pug won it XD When i say spotty i mean a Pug with patches of black fur randomly placed, he was cute tho!
But then we tried out luck at the obedience one.. We had to get in the ring and space out. Peawee was before me, had to walk with mum to the other side of the ring, Sit, Stay, she walks away, comes. Didnt work though, he wouldnt stay he followed..

On the way to the dog show three bad things happened!
1. We were at the petrol station. A moth flew in the window and sat by me. I panicked and squat him with an umbrella. He was well and truly squashed!
2. as we left the petrol station and drove to stockland The moth cam back to life and flew at me and left the car. I thought it was a different moth but it wasnt cus i checked where the dead one was and nothing was there!
Parked on the field at the… Continue

Did you ever notice that we as pug lovers have everything pug. I have pug garden flags, pug garden statues, pug wall plaques, a pug license plate on my car, there are little pugs all over my house, and I just finished placing my order for new pug checks. Now if you didn't really know me would it ever occur to you that I love pugs?

Well, you've heard of the Teddy Bear picnic, this is the Puggy Picnic! We vacationed in the White Mountains of eastern AZ at Big Lake. We would take long jeep rides everyday and then stop somewhere nice for a picnic. This was taken at Mexican Hay Lake. You can see my girls prefer the chairs when they picnic! :0)

My hubby and I sometimes take Tin Tin and Rusty out together for walks. I have noticed that during these walks, Rusty, who has become mighty strong, walks vigorously, nay, almost runs. He literally pulls my hubby, and Tin Tin, not one to be outdone, tries his best to keep pace with Rusty. He puffs and pants, no doubt, but just does not give up. And this leaves me exasparated, as Tin Tin pulls hard to run and keep pace with Rusty. So what we do is after a bit of walking, I… Continue
