Bella and I have been going on afternoon walks these past two days. It's warm and I've been worrying about Bella overheating or becoming exhausted, so I pick her up and carry her some of the way. Not so easy lugging around a 24 pound pug, but someone's got to do it. After a few blocks, Bella's sprightly gait seems to mock my exhaustion the moment I put her down.
Sure we get our share of stares and a few laughs, but it's a lot better than my pug collapsing. I'm not quite sure if…

So...Bella is as spoiled as can be. We are working on it. She is quite aware that she is the princess around here, and such an energetic little thing. Right when I got home, she ran to the front room and started rolling around on the carpet. She kicked a bottle that was on the ground and bent down to confront it, then commenced her roll. Bella has been an extra funny girl lately. She makes me laugh so much, but she has become a little brat.
Sunday, we went to a coffee shop.…

I'm trying to take pics of Pudge but he's so excited around me he has a hard time keeping still!
I had a MAJOR scare earlier. I let him out in the backyard to potty and then came inside to get my bag so I could go to the store. When I went out the garage someone had opened my side gate ( I know it wasn't me!) and I was immediately freaked that my precious baby had run off :( But! He's such a GOOD DOG that he was sitting on the steps of my side door!! I was so relieved to find him! He…

Well next week is the big day, Padrona is getting spayed! Her behavior has been really naughty the last few days. She is definitely showing signs of dominance and jealousy towards Pandora the last few weeks. She is almost due for her heat again so i am certain her hormones are playing a part in this naughtiness. Any advice would be helpful? Do any of the multiple pug owners deal with this…

So this morning I decided to give my three a bath so I had all three in the bathroom and started with Linus. He was no problem, didn't like it to much, but he let me scrub him and rinse him all with Miss Lizzy trying to get in with him. Linus is done, and I thought let me keep Lily for last, so emptied the water, and started all over again. Put Lizzy in, started to scrub, and here was that brave one trying to jump out ever chance she got. Anyway, rinsed her off and started to empty the…

Queen Hana in her royal robe..........
We were lucky in Nagoya! Hana and I were at home when the quake occurred. Yep, dogs know what that's about!
Nagoya was spared of damage, though the tremor here was quite long.
Hana and I are getting…

Hi All!
Thanks for the warm welcomes thus far.
Hana seems to be doing fine thus far. She's not fully adjusted to her new life, though does seem to enjoy my company.
My major concern is giving her more attention. Unfortunately she's spent considerable time alone prior to arriving here, and sometimes a bit too much excitement for her, especially from me, I think. We're working on curbing thrills, as she can lose her head pretty quickly.…

My hubby bought Hana at a pet shop about 10 years ago. She was likely the runt of the brood, and bears a protruding navel.
Mieko, my hubby and her daughter, fell in love with the little Puggie in the window as far as I know. Well, 10 years down the road with bladder infection and left leg joint disorders we thought it better Hanna have more attention and a better vet. Mieko was spending more time with me than Hanna and her adult son who had inherited the job.…
