I was in Sonoma this past weekend and went into one of my favorite pet shops to look for something for Oakley and met the owners of an adorable fawn pug. They told me that in the Bay area and Sonoma counties they have what they call "Pug Sundays" where pugs and their humans gather to play in kind of a dog park setting but for pugs only. Has anyone heard of anything like this in SoCal? I thought it sounded like alot of fun.

Dear Child Rescue,
Must rehome due to new addtion to family "After two long years of being on a
waiting list for an agility dog, we have been notified by the breeder that, at
long last, our number has come up and …WE ARE HAVING A PUPPY!!!
We must get rid of our children IMMEDIATELY because we just know how time
consuming our new little puppy is going to be and it just wouldn't be fair to
the children. Since our little puppy will be arriving on Monday we MUST… Continue

It took 12 shots to get this one. Sassy Sue was barking and taking Daisy's attention! You people understand me; my husband thought the first 2 shots were fine! Don't worry if you look at the cake and think it's chocolate; it's really a chunk of doggy beef log that I was going to cube for "cookies". I thought it made a great cake, don't you? Both Daisy and Sassy were sorely disappointed that they only got one little cube.… Continue

I have been shopping for my new pug that is coming in May. I have found in my travels that there are many different opinions on what type of crate to get. I was told at first the best was the more enclosed type now I am hearing that they prefer more of the open crate. Any advice would be appreciated.

My name is Elizabeth and I live in Arkansas. I had been dropping hints to family members that I had wanted another female Pug. Last year on 12/23 I was running late and went out to start my car. Trying to get all the last minute stuff done at W-M... The night before it had been raining and was pretty cold outside. Anyways... I went outside to go start my car and when I stepped outside there was a little black Pug shivering... Tied very tight to the side of my porch. There was a note that I… Continue

This wee leprechaun was at one of the vendor tables at APARN's Pugstock 2009. He welcomed all the puggies to a great pug party. Sassy Sue and Daisy Doo had a grand time and slept all the way home; they were tuckered out! Kudo's to Terri Wood and all the Volunteers of APARN (Arizona Pug Adoption & Rescue Network). Jeff and I had a blast, too.… Continue

I suppose i am not a perfect Dog trainer, Groomer or owner..However after doing much research and experiencing blending my life with a PUG ( which is welly known as hyper, attention, and sometimes trouble maker breed) ... a year of her existence in my life has somewhat enlighten me in accepting her as part of my family member; I find when we really love and accept approve of ourselves exactly as we are, then everything in life… Continue

Duchess took her first weekend getaway with the family... to New York City! We found that the Omni Hotel a few blocks from Central park accommodates small pets so off we went. Duchess was excited but a little apprehensive about the hotel but soon felt comfortable playing with her familiar toys we brought along. Taking her for walks in Central Park was so much fun! She really loved seeing so many other dogs of all shapes and sizes! The most difficult part of the trip was walking up Fifth Avenue… Continue

I took my dog to the vet today and she got her shots and she was allergic to them. Her face got really swollen. Her lip was almost the size of a golf ball. So i had to take her back to the vet and they gave her 2 more shots so the swelling would go down. They said i was lucky to catch it in time. Its a good thing i noticed it because i was going to leave for a few hours.
