Reverse Sneezing in Pugs

My oldest Pug, Scorpius has reverse sneezing to the extent...and every time it happens, it looks like she is trying everything to catch her breath, and it really makes me feel so helpless and sad for her. Does anyone know of any kind of medication or therapy that I can give to her to help her breathe more easily???

A few Things Kloe...

Kloe will be starting intermediate obedience school this thursday.  Its going to be a tougher one.  I think she might be a bit young, but we are going to give it a try.  One of the things she has to learn is healing without a leash.  WOW!  I don't see how that's going to happen, but she has been able to do everything the instructor has asked so far so I'm confident she will be able to master it!?

Kloe has recently found the spot that my Zoe and my friend's pug Lucky used to love…

The Pug Wrinkle!

Hi All, I'm new to the website, so I apologize if this was posted previously and I missed it...

My pug Stewie has a large pug wrinkle above his nose, it is constantly getting filled with "ick". Does anyone have a good solution for keeping it clean? I've tried the antibacterial cream, but that just seems to keep it goopy.…

Kloe's Good Behavior

Kloe has so far been a very well behaved little pug.  Lately I haven't been able to take her to work as much or get out and meet lots of people.  Today a client of mine wanted me to bring her in to see everyone so I did.  I forgot how absolutely well behaved she is.  She is fairly good at home, but you have the regular puppy problems and excitement.  Today she was great.  She is excited to meet the people, but when we are standing around talking and not paying attention to her at the moment…

The Sure Way to Prevent Your Pug from Catching a Cold

Pugs in Raincoats

Yeah, that’s me in the blue and white polka-dotted raincoat, right before I was shooed out the door into the rain to “do my business”.  After a couple of days of soggy weather, I caught the sniffles. I might have even had a slight cough. I’m positive I sneezed a couple of times.

Humans have had indoor plumbing of some sort for hundreds of years. Cats have litter boxes. Maybe that’s why they have nine lives – they can stay inside when it’s nasty…

The Murder of a Squeaky Toy

I found some old toys of Zoe's while I was cleaning up so Kloe got to play with a bunch of "new" toys and it got me thinking about how the different dogs play with their squeaky toys.

Abbey doesn't play with them that much anymore, Jake used to rip them apart until the squeak was gone.  My Zoe loved the squeaky toys when she was younger also and would eventually murder them.  We had a beautiful large black and white Shepard named Sylvie.  She was powerful and no squeaky toy made any…

Petunia loves carrots. She has always enjoyed them, but for some reason in her old age has become aggressive about getting them. When I open the fridge, she runs inside and refuses to move until she has a carrot. Sometimes when I need to distract her, I give her one of those big bugs bunny carrots to gnaw on.

But now she has developed a new level of aggression. If I somehow manage to close the fridge without giving her a carrot, she rams into me. This morning I had hot tea and I was…

Pug Tattoo

Hi all!

Im a newbie to this site and since there are a few pug tattoos out there I thought I would share my fiance's tattoo. Its of our beloved first fur baby Pugsley. My little Roo's big day!

Rufus turns 5 on Wednesday, I can't believe it. It's got me feeling all nostalgic and emotional haha. I can't believe all that time has passed so quickly since bringing him home at 8 weeks old, the years have just disappeared.

Seems only yesterday I was feeling sick with excitement at the thought of bringing my puppy home and now my little baby boy is all grown up! I am not liking how fast the time with him seems to be going but he fills each day with love, laughter and happiness. He… Continue

Life in the Pug lane

Life has gotten very busy for or house in the last months!  We decided to tie the knot and eloped to Vegas in November, so that was exciting! Lo also turned 11 this year and that for me was amazing. I have had her for 11 years and wouldn't change a day. She is like a young pup at times and is feisty so that makes my heart warm.  2012 was a great year and I predict that 2013 will be even better.  We also found out mid November after the wedding that we are expecting.  This is very exciting,…

The Making of a Vinyl Car Sticker....

I've been gathering together everything needed to make tshirts and vinyl stickers.  I've got most of what I need and now I'm trying it all out.  The first was a Doctor Who vinyl sticker for the back of my cell phone.  Worked out well.  Then I decided to revisit the "Pugs In Black" logo I made in June.  Here are a few pictures of the process.  Sunday I'll post a picture of the sticker actually on my car, its too dark right now to do a proper job.…
