Social network for pugs and their people.
Giving everyone an update on the fur kids...I will start with Lo...she is doing great! 10 years strong and being a wonderful, hilarious Puggy! She is so funny and I love her more daily. She still has the bump on her side that tends to drain every so often and puff out. It never gets bigger than the size of a large pea and it doesn't seem to bug her so I just check it regularly. She has a cold I think at the moment as she has sneezed a bit more than usual and has honked a bit, nothing to…Continue
Tin Tin is just over two, and like all pugs, has a most distinct and endearing personality. Almost makes him human. I wanted to share with my Pugslife family, some of the things that set him apart from other dogs I have known, and that makes me wonder - Do all pugs behave the way Tin Tin does, in some form or the other?
1. Tin Tin hates people wearing black, whether on television or in person. He barks at them most vigorously and I have a tough time soothing him. Wonder why thats…Continue
I took this picture of Buffy sleeping in her new bed. She's all cuddled up, so peacefully, and with her little tongue out. When I look at her, I just can't think why her owner would give her up after more than 12 years of loving her, but then I think I'd never know Buffy if she hadn't. So, today, I'm a little softer on the humans who love their pugs enough to surrender them…Continue
I am just now getting to post this. I took Miss B to the vet yesterday. Many of you have noticed that her hair is kind of thin in spots. Well I noticed that it is getting worse on her hind legs. So off to the vet we went. He said is could be one of two things, her thyroid, or allergies. So we had a blood sample taken to rule out thyroid. Results will be in like on Wednesday. I am hoping it is thyroid more then allergies. Allergies to me seems like something very hard to pin point. …Continue
Well, today was the day Rocky left us for his forever home. The term "bittersweet" doesn't cover it, really. I'm just trying to remember when we adopted Anthony, how amazing that felt and how happy we were to find the perfect pug to fill the gap left by the passing of our Mr. Neumacks. The family we turned Rocky over to was in the same position, and they were SO happy to meet him. They were very nice people. They all came, mom, dad and their two girls (upper teens). Very nice, obviously dog…Continue
Well Souffle is 12 1/2 and she tries to go outside. Sometimes she is lazy and will just get up, pee on the rug, and scratch it with her hind legs like it was grass! I tried putting a diaper on her and it fell off. Is there some kind of pants that I can get that will hold the diaper on her?
Time for me to vent, I am having so much trouble with the message center on here, I do not know what I am doing wrong, but yesterday I did two separate messages to, well I did more then that really, but anyway two of my messages went to people from my list that I did not even check off to send a message to. It appears everytime I send a message to one or more persons, the list jumps and the names I have checked are no longer checked, but other names are checked. Does anyone else have…Continue
Well, only a few more days and Rocky goes to his new forever home. He's been with us since the end of October and has been such a great pal, we're really gonna miss him. We cleared up the majority of his medical conditions and he's been ready for a new home for some time. Of course, with the holidays and all, adoptions have been sparse, but now he's been adopted. We'll be taking him to his new mommy on Saturday.
I'm not ashamed to say that this is really difficult. After…Continue

Just saw this & thought I would share it. It is sooo very sad and some of you may have already heard of this story about this dog, but it was a first for me. http://www.ahscares.org/Patrick_Photo_Gallery.htm
We got our first snow last night, about three inches. This morning I opened the back door to send the kids out, and Lizzy flew out, she loved it, ran around like a nut. Not my Linus, he stood there and took tiny steps out into it, then turned around and ran back to the steps. Needless to say he did nothing, while Miss Lizzy was a good girl and pooped. Later I got dressed and went out to shovel, took the kids with me. Lizzy again was running around jumping in the snow piles, and what was…Continue
Shini's breeder has a photo page of Shini on her website.
This happened just next to my hometown, 20 minutes away actually. I have been to this park MANY a time, especially back in my high school days, and after high school w/ my children. Thank God we have not yet took Shini there, nor will we be now! It was sad enough this was done to a dog, but could you imagine it done to a child??!!!!
Surgery has been postponed (again) due to this virus, cold or whatever it is I have. But I am actually feeling better this evening. Kind of dissapointed though about surgery, as am ready to start walking again. But, picking myself back up by the bootstraps, dusting myself off & jumping back up on my horse for a longer ride :) Appreciate all of you & your kind words & support.
just wondering if anyone has tried or has their pugs on a food called Natures Domain sold in Costco ,we are thinking of changing to it as we feed Natural balance rt now and it is $65.00 Canadian a bag, Costco sells Natures Domain for $40.00 and it looks almost the same ingredients as Natural balance the protein is about 24% 3 % higher then Natural balance any input would be helpful!
The girls and I were out in the quilt studio and each one has her favorite place. Buffy beside the furnace, Sassy in a sunbeam, and Daisy Doo cuddled in her favorite recliner. I was concentrating on a challenging applique pattern and wasn't giving Daisy Doo what she believed was enough attention. When I finished the design, I looked up and there was Daisy, nice as you…Continue
LOL this little black puggy of ours is a Hoot! In the last few days she has figured out this routine (finally) & at the EXACT SAME time EVERY day now, she runs to Mike & paws him ( telling him it's time for their post office walky) and if he is not ready, he pets her & tells her "in a bit." Well the last few days he has told her this, she has ran to me whinning & whinning & looking over at Mike, as if to be telling on him. She's frigin' hillarious & totally human…Continue
Well heeded to the vets advice & have been socializing Shini alot more. And she is doing so great! We had company stop by the other day & the last time they were here we had to crate her when she came to visit. But this time, she just barked at first & then settled right down & we were able to visit peaceably w/our company w/out crating Shini. We are so proud of her! Also to get her coat or clothing on it was a fight! So we started inforcing the sit command when clothing her…Continue
