I'm Olivia Alan McPugstry. *baby snort* I am about 9 weeks old and some of my favorite activities are playing with my cow, licking peanut butter out of my Kong bone, and collecting sticks from outside. My parents are the coolest they let me bring them inside and chew them to shreds on the floor! It's great. I also really love to EAT! It's pretty much my favorite thing to do. Then whenever I go potty outside, I get a treat. I've got them trained! *baby yawn*

We first fell in love with the breed and decided to have our first pug after we met "Petit Louis," an adorable fawn boy who lived with an English couple in the Poitou region of France.
We met contacts everywhere in England as we wanted a pug with the English Type. We found out it wasn't easy and that patience was the key word to be part of the pug family as they were very few… Continue

Ketamine is a neuroleptic anesthetic. It is actually one of the safest general anesthetics in use, under normal situations. It is most often used along with valium as the induction agent prior to placing the endotracheal tube to deliver the gas anesthetic. (It is pretty much impossible -and not recommended- to place a trach tube in a normal, awake animal-- the animal must be sedated.) It is also used for short surgical procedures. (Although many vets use it alone for major procedures such as… Continue

Dogs are commonly known as the man’s best friend. But man argue even with their best friends so there is a need to speak about dog abandonment reasons as lately the issue has run wild.
There are 5 main reasons why people usually give up to their dogs and we’re going to see how each reason is applied on what’s concerning pugs.
1. House training
problems have always been and will remain a strong reason why not consider a pug. Because the breed is small and stubborn, it… Continue

Browsing through the online industry of pet food , I observed some things many of you may already know but some of you may still have questions about.
Some of you have probably heard numerous claims about pet foods using "human grade", "antibiotic and hormone free" "meat based" etc. and do not know what to believe anymore. Below I will try to address some of the claims that are really half true and that could be construed as being misleading.
First let us say that federal… Continue

In November 2000, I went to Sissys grave to see her and talk to her. It was a cold day and I told her how much I missed her and how I needed to know that she was alright. It seemed to warm up around me, but it started to snow. Now, it does snow in our area, but according to all weather reports and history, it was not due to snow anytime soon. I told Sis I loved her and that I should go home to beat the snow on the roads.
As I started to leave, I looked towards the mountains and seen… Continue

I was playing with my babies on the floor the other day and got a real good wiff of them. Oh boy talking about needing a bath. So first thing the next day I tricked all 3 into the bathroom and closed the door. None of them like a bath but all will put up with them. Bugsy is the worst. He does try to get away but not to bad, Maggie trys to get the hose out of my hand, Jiggs just stands there and hangs his head. They get baths about every 2-4 months. It kills my back. I try to do it before… Continue
