Tummy Ache... Mommy has been freaking out!

Posted on September 7, 2009 at 11:24am 4 Comments

So one week into having our precious Mr. Smudge, I took him out on the town and let him roam around on the public sidewalk. He was having a great time, meeting a few people here and there and exploring safe and non-busy areas. We were only out for an hour, and as soon as we got home he had a bad case of diarrhea. I feel like a horrible person b/c I watched him the whole time and I truly don't know what happened to get him so sick.

I started to worry after he kept going runny poop… Continue

Day One: Mr. Smudge's Homecoming!

Posted on August 28, 2009 at 7:59pm 7 Comments

What a day! Smudge is completely adorable as expected, and sooo much more! Slept most of the way home, and seriously seems houstrained already! He follows me everywhere I go but at the same time can be content playing on his own. He will even get in his crate willingly and has pooped and peed numerous times outside! Its like a dream come true for a first-time puppy owner!

Perhaps I am getting ahead of myself, since we haven't survived the first night sleep yet, so we shall see.…

Nice to hear that you have had great New Year's in Scotland. Used to have them myself in my youth but now I fear I prefer to snuggle in my bed when the Clock strikes 12. Getting old is a bother but it just seems to happen, anyway Hektor likes his bed and likes company when he is snoring. Love to Mr Smudge. Helena and Hektor

Glad to hear that Mr Smudge is doing well, have to say that Hektor is in the doghouse this morning having had bad words with his fellow, and very gentle Pug Stanley. I don't know what is getting into the bold Hektor, I am beginning to think that he is into the terrible two's at the moment, which is very bad as he ain't anywhere round the real two's. Regards Helena and Hektor

Thank you for the kind words. Daisy will not have to have vaccines again now, they will just check her immunities each year and the county will excuse her from further vaccines. One thing I am telling everyone with a dog or cat now is to have their shots only done one at a time, that way if there is some kind of reaction, the vet will know which one caused the problem and what company is responsible. Take care :-)
