What to feed a pug? (II)
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are responsible for a pug's energy levels and reserves. Most of the carbohydrates are derived from plant proteins but some sources are more digestible than others. Dog food manufacturers are able to manipulate blood glucose levels for example, by combining different carbohydrates in the types of food they sell.
Corn, barley and wheat are more digestible, thus more preferred by pugs and pug owners all over the world.
