A narrative by Walter, the Crowned King of Grand Isle.
My humans fell in love; but it's very hard for two daddies to have children. My Daddy Adam told my Daddy Topher that he wanted to adopt a pug for their family to love and protect. That night they prayed and God answered their prayers and guided them to find me, Walter.
When I first met my daddies I was only 7 1/2 weeks old and it was the first time I left my pug mom. I was so scared at first and I chewed on the string of my Daddy's hoodie and insisted upon being held like a human baby because I missed my mommy a lot. I've slept in bed with my daddies since the day they took charge of my protection detail.
It was great just my two daddies and me. They made me their official copilot (my pugmilitary service from my formative years)
Then my daddies had a long talk and decided they loved me so very much that they wanted me to have a mate. That night they contacted a trusted pug breeder and told them to find a brindle female pug that I could be betrothed.
I said, "How exotic! I love you daddies!"
The three of us prayed; I kissed my daddies so much that night. Then months went by and we recieved a call, Your baby was just born! We were all excited... But my two daddies hugged a really long time that night.
Then 8 weeks later Eva came home. She was so beautiful! I was instantly fascinated with how gorgeous she was.
She trusted me instantly and I swore to her I would protect her forever because "our daddies prayed and God answered our prayers with you my beautiful Eva."
She was such a wonderful playmate. Life was so much more fun with Eva than it ever was with just my two daddies and me.
The first time we laid together in marital congress resulted in pregnancy. I was sneaky too! In 3 human seconds time I ran ahead, Eva followed. I turned, she presented her diaper covered bottom and I still managed to get in the tail hole and dock in 3 seconds; I call that a double bullseye.
Just short of 9 weeks later my first litter of pug puppies were whelped by my daddies. 4 litte wiggling, eyes closed pugs!
My daddies had to make sure everyone nursed on schedule every 2 hours. Each session would last about an hour so they would leave the nursery and 30 minutes later they'd be washing their hands and getting ready to go back in. They were such dedicated protectors and Eva was such a proud and knowledgable Mummy.
We had 2 black females, 1 brindle male and 1 white little mystery. We wouldn't know exactly what she was until she opened her eyes 2 weeks later. Was she albino? Was it leukism? Or was she exactly what my daddy Adam secretly prayed for with... A white pug.
She opened her big beautiful brown eyes and we knew instantly how very special she was. She was a walking, pug-talking miracle.
Her name is BettyWhite and my daddies said that since she was so very special that she could stay with us too. Actually, both daddies insisted simultaneously... It was really quite silly for humans.
We emigrated from the Middle Atlantic Region to the Kingdom of Grand Isle. My Daddies held a lovely party for our Coronation and crowned My beautiful mate HRH QUEEN Eva and my humble yet adorable self HRH KING Walter of Grand Isle! The towns people were elated; the cows and goats... Not so much.
We were expecting another litter, but it turned out to be a false pug-pregnancy. My daddies were very upset and that was the day they left with PRINCESS BettyWhite and came home with HRH Tobias the Duke of Essex. They told me that he really needed a home and that our family would love him together.
Toby is 1 human year older than me and technically my daddies said he was to be BettyWhite's protector.
We are a Matriarchal Monarchy where the men both pug and human serve the needs of our Sovereign.

So sorry for being so Tardy, I have been in and out quite a bit as we are busy on our new house. Hektor thinks he is the Monarch of the Glen, he would certainly take it on. He is some lad my half American Lad, He comes from illustrious stock both his Yankee Dad and his English Mum who came from Pug Royalty in Britain. His Great Granddad was 1996 Crufts Best in Breed for thePug, a German Champion from British Stock and his Granddad was the 1995 one, and all his Yankee relations are register of merit, his American Granddad has produced over forty champions for his line. Sidney, Hektors Dad was imported and after his first litter which produced Hektor and his eight litter mates, sadly one died, he came to live with Hektor's breeder. So you could say Hektor or Butch Cassidy is Royalty. Helena
