"That vet balm looks like a re-branded tin of bag balm. I am sure the bag balm costs a lot less too."

"Sounds like a better food diet will help alot. You can try adding a fish oil to there food or organic coconut oil also. The coconut oil can be aplyed to the nose or bagbalm can be aplyed too."

"For an everyday non-medicated use our vet recommended human tear like eye drops for Muffy. We use one called tears naturale but like I said its just to keep eyes moist not for any particular condition. Good luck :)"

About Me:
I got an account on this website because my boyfriend and I just recently adopted a pug with quite a few problems , so I thought it'd be nice to talk to other pug owners.

About my Pugs:
Dolores- We call her Lorie. She's mostly black with a few white patches and one little white paw. She's actually a pug/ schnauzer mix. We've had her since she was 6-weeks-old.

Mister Macado- We call him Mac. We just adopted him 2 days ago (today is 12/13/10). He is 4-years-old and very over-weight. He also has peripheral vision (his eye was scratched when he was a pup)... it's not that big of a deal, he just bumps into things sometimes. He also has a very chapped nose. He gets very dry eyes and we're not too positive what the best way to clean out his little face wrinkles is. We use a damp paper towel and do it very gently to try not to irritate him.

(both of our dogs sleep in bed with us and go everywhere with us)

Welcome to the Family Starr, Lorie, and Mac, if you need help with your Pug this is the right place, most of us one time or another have them, though they are the sweetest dogs alive, some times they like to try us out. Helena and Hektor

When you can't travel with your pugs ...

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary. Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
