About my Pugs:
I am the proud mom of two Pugs Jake and Emma. We also have Anna my cat. She just turned 17 in April but is still going strong.
Jake was given to us by a co worker who couldn't keep him any more and we just fell in love with the breed. We got Emma from a rescue about a year later. You can check out Jake and Emma on Youtube. Just put in Pug O War and you will see them in action.
Update: We moved up north in July of 2010 and then tragedy struck. Emma was diagnosed with PDE and we lost her in late Feb 2011. One month before her third birthday. We were devastated. No other Pug could ever replace Emma but eventually we did open our hurting hearts to bring Sadie into our lives. Then in early June 2011, my cat Anna also left us at the age of 19.
Sadie has brought a ray of sunshine to our sad house. Her determination to cheer everyone around her has helped us all. She is our official and definitely our only "morning person"
Jake mourned for Emma for 5 months but has recently begun to perk up and be himself again.
We feel hopeful that although we all still miss Emma and Anna, we can now begin to move forward again as a family with God's help.

Heart problems

Posted on June 9, 2009 at 3:40pm 2 Comments

When our little girl Emma plays or is excited he heart pounds so hard you can actually see the side of her chest moving in and out. It also seems to effect her breath. She is getting enough air but when she is panting she is exhaling with the beat of her heart. You can clearly see it beating and it looks alarming. In prior visits to the vet we have been unable to duplicate the event but yesterday when we took her to update her shots it was doing it. The doctor was able to observe and listen to… Continue

I should think for as long as we have communicated amongst ourselves it is about time we did this thing with the friendship. I know how frustrating it can be when a person wishes to do something to make life a bit better for the furry kids, but the hurdles can be difficult to jump over to accomplish that goal. Still do think that a really low slung tarp of an indicrete color could work for you while not being an eye sore. Certainly does not need to be a large on by any means, also it is very temporary. Your call though.

Yeah, that's kind of a tuff one, fortunately I have not really had to figure out anything along those lines, seems like a pretty expensive way to go though, what about a tarp low to the ground something along the lines of a pup tent set up close enough so they would not need to travel to far and it would not be a huge effort to shovel the snow to allow them passage. See I can be serious on occasion too. Must admit it hurts my brain though. hahaha

My mother picked her out. She has a Boston Terrier She tried to pick out the one with the most "girly" looking face and I think she did well. Her paternal grandfather was a black pug and she got alot of his dark markings.
