A friend in my building knew of my love for pugs.Her vets assistant had one.She brought him over.I didnt know it was a black
pug,but I accepted him.There were 2 other older pugs which he didnt bother with.This was his 4th home.That was over 5 years…
JackBlack was given to me by a vet technician 5 years ago,when he was about
five.He had seizures when he was younger,but after a year I weaned him off the phenobarbital.Hes had one seizure lasting a couple of minutes.I adopt/rescue

O.K.-I had a female pug.Same situation blood in urine.Dont freak out.The vet put her on antibiotics and it stopped in about
3 days.Its usually a urinary infection.
Had 2 older fawns when I adopted Jackblack a 5 yr. old black pug.He ignored the older fawns who passed on to the spirit world.Recently adopted a 7 yr, fawn that has undergone 3 operations for mast cell cancer,and one for bladder stones.

Most pugs seem indifferent to cats,except to steal their food.Put cat food on
a counter where the pug cant reach it.It also can give pugs the runs.

Putting dogs in crates when youre at work or asleep is like keeping them in a zoo from the 1950s.
O.K. at first they take the dog out,and after a couple of years slowly lose interest.The male and
female children get older and their hormones change.The male would rather watch a
baseball game,and eventually chase girls.The young girl after a few years has Prada,Versace,
or Betsey Johnson on her mind.The dogs become physicaly and emotionaly neglected in
favor of a pocketbook by Hermes.Or the male prefers drinking beer with his deadbeat and crackpot friends.
Adopt or rescue a dog at least 3,4,or 5 years old.
It breaks my heart when I leave for work-often the pugs are waiting behind the front door when I( come in.

We are fortunate here in the UK, most Pugs are treasured companions and very few make it to rescue and those few that do are snapped up as purchasing a Pug is a huge investment, not something that I even thought about as it had to be a Pug for me. I hope your little fellow recovers from all his problems. Hektor, who has been really very well since I got him at 8 weeks old, except for his enthusiasm when he must have jumped very badly and broke his elbow when he was around 6 months old. It healed very well with minimum intervention, on fact all he needed was 2 weeks house rest. This past week has been the worst bit of health he has suffered, with impacted anal glands and we think he strained his back left leg probably running around with his larger friends, he's a maniac at times, will play with anything. So he has given himself a few days rest and with pain killers, he seems to be as well as usual. So better health for yours is wished for.

- Hi Richard, I come from Scotland the country that gave birth to John Muir, though it has taken till now to introduce the idea of National Parks here. I know what you mean about European Man, but we are not all like that. I always wish that all of the world had been allowed to just develop as it wanted and we had not gone exploring, God knows we have made enough mess of our own parts of it. Come and join us in UK Puggies, we will be delighted to meet you.
