This is bit late because we all know how well the beautifl Milo is doing at the shows. As Brent says it is the bite and not the teeth, but they do frown on Dentures and the lack of reproducing gear too.
Really? Even if Milos top left canine tooth is too far back with nothing infront of it and his left one is in the correct place?
Helena, you again are so correct, judges will look into the dogs mouth, they are not looking at the placement of the teeth, they are looking at the bite. I feel really bad beating you to checking on the standards.....kinda.:-)
Oh dash it, Brent got there before me, I was just going to say the same thing check the breed standard and also get in some practice with some small shows, only time will tell.
Sophie, Pugs teeth do not count in the show ring I believe, they all have cr*p teeth and it is expected, so don't stop for that.
http://www.pugs.org/IS/IntropageIS.htm I found this very helpful to see how Milo compared to the standard. Of course, i dont think ill bother showing him anymore because of his teeth and health.
As far as I am concerned yes that dog is cute enough to be a show dog. I have a black pug too, I know she is cute enough, but, I checked the AKC standards and she walks pigeon toed. It doesn't matter we love her the way she is.

Black pugs are slightly less common than fawns. The black is a recessive gene. A lot of people have black pugs, and I'm just curious as to how many on here do. :)
You odn't have to have a black pug to join. But please post something id you do.
