Hometown:
Laredo, TX but currently in Silver Spring, MD
About Me:
My first pet was a female pug, her name was Chula. She was the coolest and cutest little baby. She loved to eat, play, sleep, hang out at parties, hang out under the dinner table, play in the snow, and snuggle with her parents and sister Roxy (American Bulldog). After almost six wonderful years with her, we lost her to a tragic and horrible accident. We miss her very much, and swear that pugs are the best!

My husband and I now have another pug in our life to fill in the gap that Chula left in our lives. This time we went for a boy, and he is wonderful! His name is Ovi, named him after a Capitals hockey player and he is so much fun and gets along very well with his sister Roxy, and all his cousins.
How many pugs own me:
2, Ovi and my late Chula. Chula will always own my heart<3
About my Pugs:
My little girl Chula just passed away on 1/7/11. She was one month away from turning 6.

Now I have a new puppy, his name is Ovie. He was born on Dec 23, 2010. We're happy to have him, he is doing great!

Hi Marty!  So glad to hear that all is well and that Ovie is growing into a fine pug.  Izzy is doing well.  At 2 1/2 finally less crazy girl and that makes my cat Max happier.  They've kind of become friends.  Wish they were more so.  A move to TX.?  WOW, that's a long way.  But, I think you have some family there, right?  Anyway, I hope you enjoy it there.  I've been to SA only once and it was very pretty -- and very hot.  But, dry heat, as we also like to say in LA!  I think of you guys often and am so glad to get a note!  I've been SO BUSY with our new business, which is taking off in wonderful ways.  But, it feels like I'm running all the time.  So, getting ready to take another short break back to NYC to visit family and have a few days just to myself.  But, I'll miss Max and Izzy while gone.  Have a great weekend... and a big kiss for Ovie from Izzy!  Molly, Max, and Izzy Lu

Hi Marty,

If you get this in time, please, when you go to Chula's grave, let her know how helpful her story was to so many.  Not just me.  I constantly tell others about the danger of gum.  I know others from the site do, too.  She's a little angel to many of us.

Hugs,  Molly

Oh, NM is so nice!  I haven't been there in awhile, but it's so beautiful.  I have friends who moved to Taos a few years ago -- and they love it.  A very different type of life than the hussle and bussle of a big city.  You'll likely enjoy the change.

I'm delighted that Ovie is such a nice boy and a cuddler.  Izzy is just starting to cuddle more.  She's still a bit of a crazy child, a chewer and sometimes a pee-er (if there is such a word).  But, I love her dearly!

Again, so nice to have you back... and with such cute photos, too.  :)

Hi Marty!

It's so nice to see you back on the site.  I've been gone a bit, too, as my business partner has been ill and I've been too busy to have much free time.

I hope that you, your hubby and little Ovie are doing well and enjoyed the holidays.  I'm sure he must be growing up a lot.  My little Izzy is 21 months now.  A big girl... but still full of mischief.

I must tell you that I think you were so wonderful to come on site a year ago when you lost your beloved little girl, Chula, and to warn all of us about gum.  I think about protecting my little one all the time... and almost every time I'm at the check out and spot gum I think of you and your wonderful message to all of us.  I want to thank you again.

I also want to wish all of you a wonderful 2012.  I think it's shaping up to be a good year!

Please stay in touch.  We miss you when you're not here.  And we want to see photos of your little boy!

Hugs from me, Max, and Izzy

I can just imagine and Chula will always be in your hearts and I'm sure Ovie is helping you deal with the pain, although, Chula will never be forgotten.  They are great dogs, Pugs.  I'm sure you see some traits in Ovie that remind you of Chula but I'm sure he has a personality all of his own!

I am so SO sorry to hear about Chula - she had such a sweet sweet face.  I can't even imagine how hard that must have been for you and I couldnt agree with you more, once you have a Pug, they win you over!  I love your big dog too - she reminds me of my parents Boxer ( also Roxy :) )

I think you will become an inteigral part of our community pretty quick.  I did go into the archieves yesterday and pulled a video out that I had done some time ago.  We have had a few people lose loved ones just recently.  The video was on the sidebar but I have made alot of comments and it no longer shows.  Should you wish you may go to my page and click on my videos, it is the one that is titled 'Just having some fun'  Going to have to change that title.  Hope you have a most wonderful day, just looked outside to see snow on the ground, don't get that around here too often, nice to look at from a warm spot.  heheh.

Thank you so much for your friend request and yes, I talked to all the hids here and they said a great big YES also.  I am sorry for your lose and to have it happen in such a manor.  Walker my oldest and the Husband and father of the rest need some work done on his teeth also.  Because of his age I have been reluctant to do so, your loss re-affirms my not going ahead with him.  He has some trouble eating, but does seem to manage pretty well still.  Again, we are all happy to be your new friends!

Hey Marty!  Did I tell you (or send you the email) that I heard back from Animal Planet and they plan to look into it?  Just knowing that hearing from a few people like you and me who express our concerns will probably make them reconsider both the advertiser and their criteria for what makes a good advertiser.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure Chula will be with you in spirit. Thanks for raising awareness on the sugar free products.
