New look, contest

At last the Purs n' Snorts blog has it's very own unique look thanks to the wonderful talents of the Zoolatry human. I am so excited about this venture. I think it looks wonderful, no bias here :) I like it's simple clean layout and the beautiful beautiful header. The colors make me think of fall, the best season ever and when it's purrrfect pug weather. To celebrate this special occasion we're offering up a chance to win a $10 gift card to the pet…See More

Pug Fair 2008 and update
Well it's been almost 48 hours and everyone seems to be well. Thank you all so much for your prayers, concern, and kind words. I appreciate it. I love my blogging friends, you're the best. Since everyone was well today we decided to keep our plans and attend Pug Fair, it was awesome. There was so much shopping to be done, I'll have to show off some of the gifts I got a little later, but I wanted to announce the great news--- Herbie and Ricky won first place in the funniest costume category! I am so proud of my boys. They went dressed as Elton John Pugs, when it was announced they called them pimp pugs, but I explained as I went up to get our ribbon! I'm so excited about this. I get a little bit too into competitions ;) But I'm so glad they won, this is something fantastic to include in their little scrapbooks. We also played a few games and won some toys. It was so much fun.

Here's some photos of the costumes and event... visit http://pursnsnorts.blogspot.com

We had bit of a scary night when I came home from work. The pugs broke into the bathroom and got a hold of my razor (which is usually hung up but had fallen in the shower) and tore it a part. I found two blades (paper thin not very big). I think there were three on the razor, but I'm not sure. Both John and I scanned the bathroom for pieces and found no other blade, so either there wasnt' one or it's in a pug's belly. Well to say the least the latter is very fightening. I called my aunt, vet expert, and asked her what we should do. She said from the description of the "blade" we should just give the pugs extra snacks and even bread, heavy things that would make them poop more so that it's easier to pass the blade in the event it was swallowed, so that's what we did. The pugs loved it, they thought it was the best night ever. Me I'm still scared but each one is going potty well and eating and drinking and playing. I've prayed and I'm trying to leave it in God's hands but it's sure hard not to worry. I'm sure they'll be fine. But I learned how much I love them, even though they can make me nuts sometimes. And I learned that any razors are going in the cabinet.

Tuesday Review: Pug photo bracelet
Visit my blog http://pursnsnorts.blogspot.com for photos
This is my cat photo bracelet, the best Christmas gift I've ever received. John gave me this gift last Christmas. Although this is an expensive gift, about $100, it's certainly worth it because it's such a unique personalized piece of jewelry. You can have an Italian Charm Photo Bracelet made with photos of anything pets, kids, vacations, you name it. Bracelets are modular in size so they fit any size wrist, plus links are easy to remove or add. Visit http://photocreationsplus.com/ for all the details. John actually purchased the photo kit so that I could pick out my own photos to use. That was an extra special gift too, getting to pick out my favorite photos of my cats. This year I've asked for a kit so I can make a pug bracelet. I'm a scrapbooker and I love taking photos and preserving my memories, especially those of my pets. That's why this gift is so special, it's a simple, beautiful way to preserve and share your memories.

The service is wonderful and quick, the final product amazing. All my photos were returned, as well.

I first learned about photocreationsplus.com in an article in Cat Fancy. The lady who came up with the idea and creative process, first started making them of her parrots and for people who love parrots. Then she thought cat lovers would love something like this and continued to expand her business.

Today I'm reminded just what a joy the pugs are. Hehe, they crack me up all the time. I love their clown-like ways. I'm at work now and I'm missing all my babies terribly.
