....And She Sticks The Landing!!

Posted on March 9, 2010 at 1:02pm 2 Comments

Our yard is surrounded on all sides by chain link fence. There is a big gate that can be pulled across to close off the entrance from the street to the driveway. However, there is a sizable gap between the bottom of the gate and the concrete, one that a pug intent on escape would have no problem making through. For this reason, whenever Mr. Foo has to go out to relieve himself he is on leash. When the need to do his business is urgent, he jogs me across the lawn to his favorite spots,…

ANOTHER FUNNY MR. FOO STORY

Posted on February 23, 2010 at 11:07pm 5 Comments

As some of you know, today I had to leave work early to pick up my little girl from school. She was complaining of a headache and was running a fever, so I ended up staying home to care for her. Mr. Foo was estatic.

I had to log in from home to…

We're going for a ride? WE'RE going for a RIDE?! WE'RE GOING FOR A RIDE !!!!

You know the old saying, "When pigs fly"? Well, I think it ought to be changed to, "When pugs fly", because I can tell you that is a lot more likely to happen. For example, Sunday night, my daughter had spent the afternoon playing over at a friend's home and had stayed for dinner. Along about 7:00 pm my husband and I decided it was time for her to come home. Mr. Foo, ever vigilant over my whereabouts and the energy I'm emitting, immediately sensed that something was going on with Mom and Dad.… Continue

Mr. Foo And The Bee - A True Story

Posted on January 9, 2010 at 11:40pm 6 Comments

The following story took place August 1, 2009, Mr. Foo was just 16 weeks old.

It was early morning. Mr. Foo and I went outside to let him take his morning constitutional. It was a warm morning, beautiful and sunny. Our fur-baby was still getting use to his new yard and home and I delighted in watching him roam from spot to spot, sniffing and wagging his tail, looking back at me as if to say, "Look Momma! See what I found?" He trotted on the grass down along the length of the driveway… Continue

We have had a reprive with the rain here the last three days, that was starting to get really boring, but soon summer will hit and everyone will start complaining about the heat and on and on. At least it has not been so hot that it has kept me from doing yard work and I almost have the blackberry bushes on one side of the house whipped. Soon the kids will have another area about 5'x30' to have a run in. Right next to the honeysuckle bushes. I like going out and just spending time pulling out the center reeds and getting the necktor off them, yum.

Mother and son are just fine Lucas is now 3 1/2 days old and is as big as a pup of two weeks, he is a monster boy, glad she only had the one. She was struggling with him. He is going to have a most wonderfully shaped head, not certain right now if he will be as good looking as I think Jeb is but it is still just too soon. When I come in the room and settle in, Malia will bring him over and get between my arms and snuggle up. She also prefers that I hold him for her while she does the cleaning, this way his isn't rolling all over the place. She is really using me this time. Saturday night the boys and I were watching Avatar. About 10 pm she came in got my attention went to the bedroom and nudged the blankets where they stay I didn't see Lucas, asked her where he was she nudged the blanket again, she had covered him up but he had done some crawling and she couldn't get him out so she got me to do it for her. This could not be a better experience for my last litter. I'm happy

When you can't travel with your pugs ...

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary. Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
