Dutch is a quite nick name and appropriate for another reason too. The Dutch brought this breed into European circles and they were so favored by the Dutch they are sometimes called Dutch Mops. : ) M…

I see myself calling Lola Belle princess and sometimes flea or little bat (because she is black) - lol I've called her variations of her name like Loli Bug or Loli Boo too... It's fun to change her name a bit sometimes ;)

Hektor is known as Hekie Bekie, and Mr Blue which was how my breeder kept track of them, there were 7 boys and 1 girl so she put coloured collars on the puppies. We should have called him something sweet it might have sweetened up his nature, troubl…

Mr. Foo and I have a snoozing ritual. Every evening, about 10:00 pm, I put on my comfy-cozy clothes, curl up on the couch with my snuggie over me as I lay on my side. Mr. Foo curls up in the crook of my knees and snugs up next to me. His gently snor…

....And She Sticks The Landing!!

Our yard is surrounded on all sides by chain link fence. There is a big gate that can be pulled across to close off the entrance from the street to the driveway. However, there is a sizable gap between the bottom of the gate and the concrete, one that a pug intent on escape would have no problem making through. For this reason, whenever Mr. Foo has to go out to relieve himself he is on leash. When the need to do his business is urgent, he jogs me across the lawn to his favorite spots, ocassio

ANOTHER FUNNY MR. FOO STORY

As some of you know, today I had to leave work early to pick up my little girl from school. She was complaining of a headache and was running a fever, so I ended up staying home to care for her. Mr. Foo was estatic.

I had to log in from home to

We're going for a ride? WE'RE going for a RIDE?! WE'RE GOING FOR A RIDE !!!!

You know the old saying, "When pigs fly"? Well, I think it ought to be changed to, "When pugs fly", because I can tell you that is a lot more likely to happen. For example, Sunday night, my daughter had spent the afternoon playing over at a friend's home and had stayed for dinner. Along about 7:00 pm my husband and I decided it was time for her to come home. Mr. Foo, ever vigilant over my whereabouts and the energy I'm emitting, immediately sensed that something was going on with Mom and Dad. He… Continue

Mr. Foo And The Bee - A True Story

The following story took place August 1, 2009, Mr. Foo was just 16 weeks old.

It was early morning. Mr. Foo and I went outside to let him take his morning constitutional. It was a warm morning, beautiful and sunny. Our fur-baby was still getting use to his new yard and home and I delighted in watching him roam from spot to spot, sniffing and wagging his tail, looking back at me as if to say, "Look Momma! See what I found?" He trotted on the grass down along the length of the driveway until he c… Continue

Hi Lisa, great to hear from you, things are just fine here, still trying to determine Malia's condition, she is getting awfully nesty like and once again I am the surrogate puppy with the cleaning regime, doesn't seem as if I am ever clean enough for her these days. I can come straight from the shower and she will find something that I did not do right in her way of thinking, do think her waist is starting to fill out, but might simply be wishful thinking on my part, still not that long since she came out of estrus. I see that you and Mr. Foo are doing well, we have been having a spat of nice weather here, just got back from the hospital and am playing once again with the idea of putting in the last flower garden for the front yard, was going to do it yesterday, but was too windy with a bit of a chill, that was all I needed to back off it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Pugs are soo addictive! I've had many, many dogs throughout my life, but Pugs by far, are the most entertaining and in fact I think that they should be put in another category of "species". They truly are unique!

Hi Lisa, thanks for your welcome. Fur is a big problem. I have spent $1000 on a Dyson floor cleaner in an effort to keep the carpet as hair free as I can, but its a loosing battle. Never mind, they are worth it. I have read the book "Clara, the early years". I loved it. In New Zealand we can't take dogs into the plane, they have to go underneath in the cargo hold!! I have had to do it a couple of times to get pugs from wherever to me in Christchurch, thank goodness they have travelled well.

Really enjoyed your latest story about Mr. Foo, hope your human youngster is doing much better by now. I will take a look at your newest discussion about nicknames, then decide as to whether I will, or should offer up some of the ones I share with my kids, and they are suitable to whatever they are collectively or individually doing at the time. haha. Do you think perhaps I should see what I can come up with for another story? If so, I will let you decide if it is for real or otherwise. But remember it just might be for real up to the time I take off on another path with it! Hmmmmm, let me think, what would be fun....
