Hi Jim, Tell Lexi that Hektor collects the ladies at a rate of knots. I think that Lexi and he would make a great couple, but have to say this softly as his California Girl is a bit of the jealous type. Of course it is his Yankee Daddy he takes his looks off, he came all the way from Ohio to meet Hektor's Mum and the result was seven lads and one lass and they are all gorgeous. Helena

Hi Jim:

Thanks for all your support and kind words.  It is indeed a very difficult time. I intended to post on Pug Spot but sometimes I get to overwhelmed and need to take a little time for myself.  As I live alone and have no family close by Leah was my whole life.  We did everything together.  Sometimes I think that I failed her in someway, that I didn't do enough. I keep seeing Leah's precious little face and every time I go somewhere I start crying as she always went with me.  We called our car Leah's car as she always loved to go for rides.  Now I see the empty seat next to me and it's heartbreaking.  I miss her so much and the house is so empty without her.  Since her passing I have been sleeping with her little pillow covered in her favorite blanket holding it firmly against my chest.  I find myself stroking the pillow as I did to Leah.  The house is so empty wihout her, just as as I feel, empty.  I can't believe she is gone.  Again, thanks for the support.

Yup, you're right - we are about 30min from Chicago.  Wow, I would have never thought of our traffic as bad and our traffic is nothing compared to downtown Chicago!  Good thing you didn't stay there ha ha.  Yes, I'm a HUGE Pug fan!  I think once you own one they brainwash you :)  Wouldn't have it any other way!  I agree, there are many things you learn about Pugs that differ from so many other breeds, special care, health issues, you name it!  Glad to hear Lexi is in a happy home now - looking forward to pictures!

When you can't travel with your pugs ...

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary. Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
