Brent seems to blame poor Malia for everything, but then we have all seen the way Brent likes to tease her haven't we. I bet if he had Linus for 1 day he would take back what he says about Malia, and call her a very good girl. And Helen is so right…

They are very addictive. You can send Malia to me Brent... I know a few people who even have koi for her to "play" with. :) I bet she's an angel and you just make her do bad things for you.

Take Malia! I'll ship her to you tomorrow, you can send a pup back to me. She will put a whole new spin on things for Hektor, please! save me!

You know I would be interested in doing agility with Hektor but there does not seen to be any here at least none that I see advertised. I am glad you enjoyed Crufts, saw very little thanks to the Dog Master.

The Dangerous Pug

No not in the usual way, but he or she is still a dangerous dog. You see these funny, cute, strange looking little things have a secret weapon. They are like a drug, they are addictive, think of them like chocolates, you have one and then you must have another. If you are addicted to Pugslife, you will be aware that very few Pugs live as singletons, most have siblings whether related to or not.
Mum or Dad got one and then after finding what great little dogs they have, go and get another.… Continue

The Sleepy Pug

What is it about the Pug, how many other dogs have their pictures taken sleeping? You come here and there are probably hundreds of pictures of Pugs taken by their proud owners, all of them asleep.
Now we all know that there is a soporific quality to the Pug. Their gently snoring sends out Z rays, at least they do in my house. When we first had Pugs we both worked outside the home but either my Husband came home for lunch or if he could not make it I did and on many a cold winters day we woul… Continue

Home Boarding

After three holidays with Handsome Hektor which he did not seem to enjoy we decided to try Home Boarding where he went to live with a carer, had a doggie holiday without us and did not have his routine upset.
This weekend we popped him into the car with all his stuff, bedding, bowls, toys and food and took him down to the carers home. This carer also has a dog of her own, a little Shih Tzu who is used to sharing his home with any amount of other dogs. We made this arrangement through a Girl we m… Continue

Bad Breeders

I am quite distraught about the young Pugs dying of PDE. This terrible disease has to be rooted out of the Pug population and the only way to do this is to ensure that when buying your puppy you ask questions. You MUST ask the breeder if there is any incidence of PDE in their line. If you dog has died of this disease you MUST tell your breeder, I know they may not be interested but you will have done your bit to inform so that they cannot say that they were not told (put this in writing) it is h… Continue

Hello Helena and Hektor!! Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed our chat yesterday :-) It is quite different from our normal messages but fun, more like a phone call :-) Today was bath day for Daisy and now she is sitting on her bed in the kitchen. She pulled it into the ray of sunshine coming through the sliding door. Hope you're having a great weekend and I look forward to chatting again soon. Hugs to Hektor from the squeaky clean Miss Daisy!!

Hello Helena and Hektor!! We too, have the computer scan on Fridays and boy does it run slow!!! Drives us both crazy but at least it can finish the scan without shutting down. For a while there the computer would overheat before it could finish scanning. Thank you again to Mark for cleaning it up :-) Don't want to have to buy a new computer yet!! Yes, it was sweet of Dad to be thinking about Mom and the anniversary since he knew she would outlive him by many years. He was 13 years older than her and much worse health-wise. Unfortunately I have taken after his side of the family...short and stout, instead of my Mom's side...tall and thin. Luck of the draw I guess. Which anniversary is coral? I only seem to remember paper as the first and gold as the 50th. Horrible about the wild winds you're having. We have had a bit here also but nothing like the ones you're describing. Hope all is well with you and give Hektor a big hug for us!! :-)

Hello Helena and Hektor!! Hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. It is an extra special holiday for my family, not because we're Irish, but because it was my Mom and Dad's anniversary. Before he died he told me to make sure Mom always has flowers on her anniversary. So I took her some tulips yesterday and spent a little time over there talking. Toby is doing much better and seems to be healing up very nicely. I made one of my very few specialties for dinner last night...corned beef and cabbage. I absolutely love it and always makes me think of my parents. We always had it on St. Patty's Day. My poor Mom used to complain about cooking on her anniversary but Dad would always take her out to dinner soon after. Hopefully they will be on sale again and I could get another one to do next week. The selection of corned beef was pretty picked over by the time I got to the store but I still found a decent one. It was 90F yesterday and hopefully the weather forecasters will be right about it being 10 degrees cooler today. Daisy and I didn't even go on a walk yesterday!! It was still almost 80F at 6pm!! I just took her out to our grass and told her that's it for today. I haven't used the chat function on here yet but your instructions were great so I might venture into it soon. I do enjoy this message board format so much...it reminds me of the days of letter writing. :-) Hope all is well with you guys and give Hektor big hugs from us!!
