We were on our evening walk when all of a sudden Bella began limping. Her front paw began bothering her and I sat down to make sure she didn't have anything stuck in it. From what I can see, there…Continue

I thought she was sniffing around to pee, but then I saw her chomping on something. Turns out it was a piece of dehydrated chicken bone baked by the Texas heat. I yelled at her and got some out, but…Continue

So on the internet there is always the occasional horror story about how bones, Greenies, and rawhides. I don't know what to give Bella. She is due for a tooth cleaning but for now, we just want…Continue

I feel beyond terrible today for allowing Bella's heartworm treatment administration to lapse almost 3 months. She gobbled up her last pill on February 22nd and today is May 7th. I called the vet's…Continue

Well, time has just been flying by! It's been a while since I was on this site, but my life is no less Bella-centric. Not too much new going on. Bella has been developing quite the attitude problem. She used to be a mild mannered munchkin, but now she's a lionhearted roly-poly that thinks she can take on the world and every dog that wanders her way. Bella Smella is now Bella the Bold. She is starting to take her queen status to the next level. Everybody remarks about her spoiledness and some…

Around this time last year, I remember waking up to a little puggy staring at me from the foot of the bed. She hadn't moved since I fell asleep, she never did, except maybe to snuggle closer. She will always be the pug that solidified the place of the breed in my heart forever: Harley. I miss Harley, and I want to think she's in a better place. I know she is somebody's angel, but today I still miss her dearly.
I long to spoil her like a dog should be spoiled this time of year. I want…

Bella and I just came back from a very busy weekend. I turned 21 on Sunday and the family loaded up and drove to Grapevine for the Pug-O-Ween festival. It was a fun time, Bella was dressed as a purple butterfly and the place was full of adorable pugs, both big and small. There was a costume contest, which we didn't enter due to getting to the event late.
My mom got me a pug scarf, t-shirt, coasters, and small wall hanging. My apartment has somehow developed a dog theme…

So Bella has never been a jealous pug. She's usually great with other dogs, except for the barking. After getting attacked by a Boston Terrier and Yorkie, she hasn't let any dogs push her around. Even so, all it takes is a meet and greet and Bella is fine, but the barking keeps people and their doggies away.
A few evenings ago, Bella and I went to visit our friends. They have a big black dog named Lucy, who Bella used to be best of buddies with. They'd protect each other at the dog…
