She is the greatest little black pu always wants to please and is so smart she loves to learn new things. She is a very enthusiastic agility dog and is always ready to play. We do competion and do quite well.She will run for hrs. on the beach chasing and fetching her ball. she is in great shape

Betsy....why is it that we have never said hello to one another? Good morning, I have thought in the past about agility with some of my now passed pugs, never did get around to it, I just did confirmation show. Must admit did pretty good myself, what am I saying, I didn't do anything, my boys did good! Shame on me.
It's very cool that your pug loves agility. I did agility (for fun) for 9 years with my black lab Talladega, but have retired him since he now has arthritis. I tried Tojo out on agility and he was very good; off leash in the beginner class!! However, he would get to an obstacle, such as the dog walk or the A-frame, during a routine and just stop...'sorry mom, I don't want to do this one'. We decided that he is not an agility dog after a few of those episodes. I really enjoyed doing it and good for you that you enjoy it too.

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary.Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
