Mu husband bought me 2 beautiful pug girls, Tupenny and Tallulah were their names, special sisters, that were inseparable.

They went everywhere together.. Tallulah the bigger of the 2 was in charge, and was Tupennys protector. Tupenny always sat behind Tallulah and looked up to her in everything she did, be it good or bad.

1 week before their 1st birthday, me, my family and my pugs were holidaying in our caravan, when suddenly I saw Tallulah become limp. I picked her up, but it was like she wasnt there, she was staring at me, but more like she was staring through me. There was also a green slimy substance coming from her behind.

I rushed her straight to the local vet where he told me she had been poisoned by something, or someone.. I simply couldnt think, I was told perhaps she had licked a dead animal, but she was kept in a large play pen where nothing could get near.. It just didnt make sense. The vet told me to go back to the caravan, and he would care for her.

I reached the caravan within 10 minutes, and my phone rang.. I knew, and just screamed as it was confirmed that she'd passed before they even had a chance to help.

I was left now with little Tupenny, she had lost her best friend, sister, playmate and cuddle partner.

That was 3 years ago, and now Tupenny is Tallulah and more. She changed into her sister, and became in charge and control. She never left my side for a whole year, but now we have other pugs for her to look after, and she loves it.

Just a small message to my Tallulah.. I am so sorry my darling girl that I couldnt keep you safe. Everyday I feel your kissy lips on mine, and every breath I take I miss you more. Stay safe at Rainbow Bridge, and one day, Ill hold you close again.. Forever your Mummy, xxxxxx

what a very sad thing to happen,

it made us so sad when we read it,

all the best , brian and otis,

Thank you Brian and Otis... Sometimes talking or writing the pain down, makes it stop for a while.. As sad as it is that I lost her, I still smile everyday, because the short while she was mine.. I was hers too.. x x

I can't believe I missed this, so sad, but so good for your other pug.  Give us an update, how are you now?

"Looking back at my boy's life, sad that his friend Jetta died very young. She had bad legs and very Mich else wrong. Hektor could be said to have been an elderly gentleman when he passed on."
