Hi everyone, thought the Scottish contingent might be interested in a facebook page called 'Edinburgh pug meet up' they hold monthly meets with one scheduled this Sunday.

Helena, Im not sure who the breeder was as we got her at four months old. It says on the regsistration Mrs N Hand.

On a stranger note.... I went to crufts on Friday (it was amazing) I bought a pug door mat, it has a name at the bottom "Pollyanna Pickering." I was so excited i thought maybe the person who made/designed it maybe owner Mileys mum, so i did some research on the internet and found that Pollyanna Pickering is a famous animal artist :( that could be where you have heard of the name.

Emma, who bred her? Pollyanna Pickering sounds familiar, but not on Hektor's pedigree.

Comment to Tania, sorry he is a bit of a legend here, he is the only one who is always around, not the only one we have but as I said the only one who is always visible. Mind you I heard about Spudz and did not know who he was before I met him. I heard about the puppy on the coast.

Last summer was a nightmare to where we live, on a lot of occassions when I took Spudz to the beach I got comments saying 'look that's a Hektor coming over' grrrr who is Hektor???   :)

I cannot believe that your Spudz is overweight by anything like that amount. Even Hektor is only needing to lose a kilo which is 2.2lbs, and he is a big chap. I know how much exercise he gets with you and his Dad. I thought the fact that the Vet cannot see his child is overweight priceless. I agree with Pugman as long as there is a waist he is not anything like truly fat. One of our neighbours has a spaniel, and boy does he do cylindrical. I can always tell if Hektor has put on, his butt get bigger.

Oh what to do now, Mo is at least 45 pounds, it's the canned food I'm sure plus my being sick and no walks, then there is Lucas at just better than 40 pounds with no fat at all.  I know what to do, I shall let them be, they are both more than healthy and carry the weight quite well.  The one I am concerned about is me, I'm a right regular jelly bean!  My boys are both monster pugs and carry their weight quite well.  If you see a waist when you look down, don't be overly concerned.  I'm not.

Hi All, had to take Sudz to the vet tonight as his paw alergy flared up again to the point he can hardly walk, vet gives him a steriod jag and says " Spudz is overweight he could do with losing about 4/5 lbs okay I say, will put him on a diet right away.

The vets surgery is attached to his house and as I was about to leave his son came in and asked him about something his mother wanted him to get from the supermarket after surgery closes..The son must be 10/11 years old and weigh at least 14 stone...Words fail me !!!!

Healthy snacks, yes I know them Tania, those are the things that pile the pounds on me. I do not know why they put salt in them either, but talking to my Home Boarding lady about Hektor she asked if we were giving him enough salt. As I had never added salt to his meat and veg, might not have been but I bet the little slice of salami he is having at night has enough if not too much and there had t be enough in his two slices of thin ham he gets as his snacks during the day. Hope you get a reply and if not at least made them think.
