Well its a new year and i hope this year will be better than the last.

Ok Im going to write about an experience i had with Tifa about 3 weeks ago. And any comments or help would be much appriciated. Excuse the spelling

It was a normal day, the routean was the same as always. Get up, Take the dogs out for there morning release and then feed them. All was well. I then let them out right before lunch to play for about a half hour. They both had there PJ's on so i felt they were warm cause it was a bit chilly out. I was getting my husband off to work at the time. I looked out my back window and seen both dogs laying by the back sliding door. So i went to go let them in and as i looked down i seen TIFA lying there feet stickin straight out and not moving. There was dog poo around her and when i called her name no response. i picked her up and she felt very cold. and wasnt moving. Just lay there. My heart started raceing and i ran in took her dirty PJ's off and went straight to the phone to call the vet. As i was talking to them i cleaned the poo off her and wrapped her in a blanket. She still wasnt moving. The vet said to come in so i grabbed my purse and off we went. Thank God it was only a few minutes away. When I got there she had a bit more movement but was still not quite her self.

Her Temprature was 99.2 , They took it several times. Then they decided to draw some blood. Her Liver and Protien count was very High. By the time they were done checking her she was moving much better. They decided to have me come back the next day to get a Bio Acid test done on her. But she had to fast to do it so i brought her in the next day. They put her on k/d food until the results was in.

A few days passed and finally i got the results. All was not good. She suggested i take her to UC Davis to get a scan to see if Tifa had Liver Shunt. We went over all the symptoms for it and it just didnt seem like that was the problem. So i decided to wait a few days and see how she did. She seemed fine.

Thinking that i was going to loose her at this young age just made my heart drop. I watched her like a hawk for the next few days. I prayed to GOD she would be ok. 3 weeks pass. I make an appointment to get blood work done again. Low and behold everything was normal. My prayers were answered. :)

I still watch her everytime she goes outside. I feel i cant go anywhere without her now. And that sad sack face she has makes me feel guilty if i leave her home. Im afraid maybe it was something she ate. Plants, bugs, leaves, cat poo, spiders, pincher bugs, anything and everything she can find on the ground she eats. Lord help

The vet said it could still be seizers and to keep a close eye on her. But once again all the symptoms she brought up just never occured. She was still playfull, ate well, pottied regularly and was alert of everything. The vet said even in her sleep she could have seizers. So i check her all the time to see if she is breathing. She dreams and twitches and barks in her sleep. So is that really what she is doing. Dreaming? I dont know. Maybe it is seizers. So i continue to keep a close eye on her.

She has become a regular at the vet now. the last time she went to the vet for eating a bee and her whole face swelled up on her. She is only 11 months old and has a long way to go. Is it always going to be like this? Please tell me it isnt!! lol..

So my question to all of you is:
Have you had any sort of experience like this with your precious pugs? And how do you keep them from eating everything they see?

It would just kill me to lose her. We are all so attached to her. She is like our baby now. And still so very young. Spoiled rotten and loving it. And her daddy and I would just hate to see her leave us. Any suggestions would be appriciated and emplemented at this point. And thanks for listening to my story.

Hi There,
We are moving to the bay area soon, but since SF is our puggies favorite city, we wanted to add them to the group a little early. We hope you don't mind. We send our best :)
